Lancashire Second's are taking on Durham at Blackpool in a Championship game which started on Monday, giving fans of the Red Rose County who live a distance away a chance to see some fringe players and some stars of the future.

The side for the game should give a good indication of who will be involved in Wednesday's Cheltenham and Gloucester Cup match against the same opponants at Chester-Le-Street.

Of the spinners, Chris Schofield was absent and Gary Keedy and Gary Yates both played, and Steven Crook was involved but Sajid Mahmood was not, and he must be in with a chance of playing at Durham.

Youngster Steven Croft, playing on his home ground, was leg before leaving his first ball.
