Moseley Postponed

News from Twitter heralded another postponed fixture.  This time it was Moseley’s piece of transplanted arctic tundra that had mysteriously transformed into a swamp (with no indication earlier in the week, apparently.  When the rearranged match will be isn’t yet known, but we don’t have may spare week-ends left so it may be a mid-week game, and I can’t recall if they have any flood (ha!) lights there so it might be in the day, too.

After a pitch inspection at 10am today’s RFU Championship fixture at Billesley Common has been

Whilst the pitch has excellent drainage the water table remains very high. This combined with overnight rain and further rain forecast for the rest of the day has meant that the pitch is unplayable.

The inspection was carried out in line with RFU Championship regulations and the date of the re-arranged fixture will be announced as soon as possible.
