The Playing Squad for 2004/05
By David Hibell
June 2 2004
Richard Hill has a first team squad of 28 he has decided upon, with the possible addition of an extra prop to cover for the unfortunate Jason Hobsons' injury. There are new names and some returning old favourites.
As stated there is still a chance that another prop will be signed to cover the absence of Jason Hobson but otherwise Richard Hill now has the composition of the squad as he would like it.
Props: Alex Clarke, Dave Hilton, Jason Hobson, Wayne Thompson
Hookers: Neil Clark, Craig McGrath, Saul Nelson
Second rows: Jim Brownrigg*, Ollie Hodge, Ollie Kohn, Ed Pearce*
Back rows: Joe El Abd, Chris Morgan, Richard Martin-Redman, Matt Salter*
Scrum halves: Ross Blake*, Greg Nicholls
Fly halves: Danny Gray, Jason Strange*
Centres: Adam Billig, Sam Cox, Rob Higgitt, Jon Pritchard*
Wings: Owen Evans, Mike Griffiths, Luke Nabaro*, Marko Stanojevic
Fullback: Sean Marsden
The seven new signings are indicated by an *, with five of those being returning players familiar to most of you.
Some players defy description on the above basis, Jim Brownrigg can play as a back five forward, Owen Evans as more than a winger, but they are selected here for convenience.
