Short statement from Jason

Some of you may have noticed that Jason has been missing from the Sale team for a while. Apparently, he's been off somewhere playing for another team. They did quite well, I hear. I asked Swanny if Jason had any message for the fans...

Obviously, Jason's a bit busy at the moment, but he did have this to say:

"I'm feeling on top of the world. Delighted that we have won and that I have hopefully contributed to making rugby union more popular in England and especially in the North West. Looking forward to getting home, sleeping in my own bed and then running out with the Sharks"

And Dave added: "One question Robbo asked me from Singapore airport a short while ago was about the weather.........I told him I had bought him a De-Icer!!!"

It has also emerged that the scurrilous scumbags of the gutter press have been trying to dig up dirt on our Jason. As if he hasn't been open and honest about his life already. Do these filth have no scruples at all? May they all rot in their own sewers. Thankfully, Jason is big enough and man enough to rise above the base efforts of these dirtbags and he put in an outstanding performance in the final, including that try (see above).

So, after the ecstasy, it's back to the humdrum. We expect Jason's first match back to be at EP against Cardiff. We gave a massive welcome back to Charlie and Basil - let's blow the roof off for the return of the third member of the Sale triumvirate.

Mind you, will he struggle to displace Vaughan?
