Sale Sharks Supporters End of Season Party

A crowd of over 70 people attended last night's Sale Sharks Supporters End of Season Party held in the Pavilion Suite at Edgeley Park. Highlight of the evening had to be the look on the face of Cas Rigby (aka Riggerstheblonde) when Richard Wigglesworth kissed her!

Our thanks to Richard, Christian Day and Jos Baxendell for attending the evening.  All three bravely endured the attentions of a gaggle of girls, young and 'mature'.

 

Thanks also to Irwin Collins of the Stockport County Supporters Club who joined us for the evening.

Player of the Year awards were presented to the winners of the recent polls.  Richard and Christian accepted on behalf of those who couldn't attend.  Jos Baxendell was presented with our Special Achievement Award in recognition of his decade of devotion to Sale Sharks.

Music for the evening was provided by the excellent More Than One who gave their time and talent free of charge.  In return the proceeds of the raffle were donated to the charities of their choice - The Warrington Peace Centre and Cancer Research.  Thanks to the generous donation of an England World Cup replica shirt signed by Jason Robinson the raffle raised £157. 

 

The prize was won by a delighted Tony Selman (Prontashark).  Tony said that his son, a huge Jason Robinson fan, would be thrilled to have the shirt.  However, the way Tony was last seen clutching it I doubt Pronta Junior will get to hold it for very long.

The next event for your diary is the Question and Answer evening with Niels de Vos.  The date for this will be announced shortly.  There will also be a 'Meet the Players' Evening for members of the Sale Sharks Supporters Club in the near future.
