Back of the Season

Bryan Redpath has topped the Back of the Season poll this week. Following Pete Anglesea's win in the Forward of the Season, the poll now asks who is the overall salerugby.co.uk Player of the Season.

The result was fairly close run, but predictably Charlie Hodgson, Mark Cueto and Bryan were the most popular choices. What is slightly surprising is that Mark Cueto got more votes than Charlie. Cueto really has been the revelation of the season and he is definitely in the England picture now, though he was perhaps unlucky not to win a full cap against Argentina at the weekend.

As for Bryan Redpath, his presence at Sale has been a major factor in turning around Sale's fortunes and we can only thank our lucky stars (and the Sale management team, and Bryan himself) that he has decided to stay on at Sale for another season and has not been lured away by Leicester.
