Shock Prediction! Leeds will Win.
Secret weapon?

The Leeds Carnegie squad heads to the Stoop this weekend in a sorry state. No confidence in themselves, no wins in the AP and key players away on international duty. Their fans are deserting the team in droves to watch the cricket so there is little incentive for them to put in a big performance against the mighty 'Quins. Or so I thought...
Last night the Wild-one had a strange dream. In it a mangy cur was being crushed by a boa constrictor wearing a Harlequins shirt. As it's lifeforce was ebbing away the mutt managed to sink its teeth into the snakes throat and slay it. After consulting his Tarot cards the Wild-one decided that this is an omen which means that the Tykes will win at the Stoop and start on their way up the league to mid-table respectability.
Now I scoffed at this nonsense but the Wild-one insisted that the portents were right. There have been signs, in all the dismal defeats, that the team can perform better than results suggest. However the team had a pee-poor pre-season and the management have been experimenting with the line-up ever since. This week they are fielding an unchanged team for the first time this season. That will have a positive effect on those players selected. Particularly on Ceiron Thomas, a confidence player who found himself relegated to fullback as the management experimented with a non-kicking flyhalf. Last season he found a rich vein of form when it was needed so we know that he has the ability when his confidence is right. The other player who, in the Wild-one's opinion, has not been given enough game time is Henry Fa'afili. His hard running style of play from the 13 berth could well be our secret weapon tomorrow.
Now I know that the negativistas will be reading this and reaching for the arsenic bottle and perhaps that is a good thing. People who only want to support a winning team should not be riding the rollercoaster that is life as a Tykes fan.
Those lucky enough to be at the Stoop on Sunday will see the phoenix arise from the ashes of the season so far and bring home the booty ( four points of booty!). Leeds to win by a single score!

Gonner 'ere are a few thoughts wafting through my grey matter
We are going through a bad patch.
Supporters will continue to be supporters.
Having to read all the driv posted on this board is bad for one's mental stability ( as a moderator has to)
Occasionally I feel like being an ultrapositive person
If I am the only person at Headingley next Sunday..then so be it.
I have had to take the positive view on occasions and I know how hard it is!!!
I'll still be there next week - god willing.
