Difficult to do an up beat preview following last Sundays performance. It's early days in the season and whilst I am no longer a season ticket holder, I want the team to succeed. hopefully starting on Sunday. Hopefully keeping 15 players on the pitch throughout the match. I agree with you Haxby that the B&I break can not come soon enough along with a chance to take stock and for the new coach to introduce himself to the team. Let's settle for a win, by any margin, for Leeds with a full complement of 15 on the field of play!

We need a win if only to cheer up some on the MB. Three consecutive wins on the road would be a good thing would it not.

This fixture has crept up on me somewhat. Evidently, there is not to be a supporters's bus this time, which is a shame.

If I had all the money I've spent on drink ..... I'd spend it on drink.

New signings need to step up. Tideswell has been the single bright spot for me. Great addition! Agree about 9 and 10. Pilgrim has little of the pace or invention of Hampson and Leonard has yet to show he can fill Lozzers boots. I have no idea why we ever signed Clarke or Vickerman. Neither offer anything in attack and are weak defensively.

I wish I could be more optimistic but this is a long long way from the team I was supporting so enthusiastically last year.

Lots to talk about returning players in the back line sorting all our problems but to me the halves really need to stand up. A teams style of play is dictated/limited by the attributes of the 9 and 10. Know that Loz was much loved on this board but Hughes was the first pick at 10 last year when we played some of the best rugby seen in a very long time. IMHO a much underrated player who will be hard act to follow. Not convinced by many of the buys post Diccon hope GM is a better shopper than JL.

I'd like to see more of Dudman. He is inexperienced but more dynamic than what I have seen so far of Pligrim.

Agree totally...feel a bit flat after last week.But'high hopes'! Team looks more solid. But Notts played well for 60 mind against Worcester...think they were down to 14 after that? Must be inspired by our tactics!

When we beat Welsh at Headingly last Spring we looked the real deal. We had the bones of a Premiership side????????

As you say Hax we need to get back in the saddle bl**dy quick...not just take this game by the 'scruff of the neck' but assert ourselves dominantly up front with a performance that will leave this Division something to ponder. Backs look better

Notts certainly wont see much to fear from Donny game so hope all the changes make a big impact.

Notice Haag is scouting in New Zealand for impact Centre...maybe GM should be thinking of ways to bolster the Leeds outfit...needs to be proactive as coach not just monitor the situation...or it will be too bl**dy late!!

He is certainly a good talker..keeping judgement in reserve..but lets see him get really stuck in ( esp. during the B&I Season )to shaping a more mature and experienced team that will beat Worcester, Bristol, Scottish and Roth. Try out some of the young-uns by all means. BUT....... that in itself will not 'bridge the gap at the top end??!

I notice Worcester are charitably lending George Porter to Notts...seems all wrong within the same Division when there are obvious vested interests at stake?

Shame no coach on or would have gone...may still give it a go??

Leonard may still be finding his feet but does not yet look as effective as Hughes was.

Having watched the Sale game and the pre season games I would go along with that.

I would like to see another 9 and 10 at the club over the next few weeks

IMHO we need to give these guys a bit of time to gel, especially as we have a new Head Coach. I think it is unfair to compare Hampo and Hughes, at their peak near the end of last season, with our performances at the beginning of this season.

Almo, why is it unfair? Hampo and Hughes got a lot of criticism on here last season, but are far better players than what we have at the minute. Remember, Pilgrim has played in the Premiership, and isn't Leonard a Scottish international at some level? They need to start showing that, maybe if the pack got them a bit better and quicker ball they will.

just a timing issue, I prefer to wait until our pack is back to something like full strength and Ming's tactics are communicated and understood, before passing judgement.

We need a win today. No ifs, buts or excuses.

Hampo and Lozzer were obviously top drawer from day 1. In the Nottingham game at Donny at the beginning they were the only positives I could see. But having said that I do agree today's 9 & 10 need more time before judging them. I hope it's better today
