Who Is This Super-Hero?

With the double blow of the injuries last week to Mike Shelley and Clive Stuart-Smith last week, we learn on the grapevine that a "retired" ex-player is due to dust off his boots to provide cover this week against Wasps.

Question is, who can it be?

Scott Benton is playing at North 1 side Cleckheaton, and is making the difference that the Moorenders need at the moment. Derek Hegarty has also been mentioned, and this hasn't been ruled out. As Loosehead says, he's probably still match fit and will know most of the calls. However, neither of these boys are "retired" in any meaningful sense of the word.

Prop-wise, Martin "Legs" O'Keefe and Justin Wring have both been mentioned, and Wring in particular is proving he's by no means a spent force at Otley. Indeed his departure in the summer came as somethng of a shock to the fans. Could it be him? Well, again, retired he most certainly ain't.

One thing is for sure, whoever this mystery super-hero is, he's going to need a bit more than just his underpants outside his shorts to make good the failings of last week!
