When we decided to go to the preseason game in Geneva, with the game being played on a Friday it was originally planned to be just for a long weekend.... but as we had never been to Switzerland before.... the weekend just got longer and longer! We flew out on Thursday, the day before the game, returning on the following Wednesday on a trip that included a Jimmy Somerville concert, a big firework display over the lake, many, many trips up and down mountains, a 007 Breakfast, a visit to the highest railway station in Europe......oh, and a couple of rugby matches just for fun. The Tigers game followed on from the Quins v Racing Metro match - here is a selection of the pictures that I managed to take.

Glad to see Kitch being a dirty cheat in the 2nd photo!
Surely just helping to 'steady' the man in the air!
The 007 breakfast does not include black pudding; I don't think such delicacies have reached this far into the Swiss-subcontinent
- it does, however, come with a glass of Champaign.....which I gave to Ali because I really don't like the stuff.
The best use I have found for Champers is in a drink that my dad called a London Black Velvet - a variation of the beer cocktail that I have never found reference to in any web-searches: Half a pint of Guinness or stout, the remainder of the glass filled with equal measures of sherry and Champaign to make up to a pint...... an Xmas special 'draught' in our house......you don't need many of them!!!
