... represented Leicestershire Schools at 14, 16 and 18 year age groups and England at U16, U18, U19 and U21 levels appearing in the U18 group whilst only 16 years of age. Having made his senior club debut in the Orange Cup game in Toulouse in August 2001, Harry went on to score a superb individual try that helped defeat Llanelli in the Heineken Cup semi-final at Nottingham in that season. He was named as the Tigers' Players Young Player of the Year 2001/2.

Harry has represented the Tigers on the wing but it is as a scrum half that he has excelled, gaining selection in that position for the 2004 England tour of New Zealand and Australia. Harry is known for his searing breaks from the base of scrums and for his ability to boss the forwards. At time he is the eyes of a very experienced pack directing them to drive or break round the fringe or produce the ball for the backs with a maturity and authority that belies his youth. Harry Ellis is 22. I expect to see him gain his first senior cap for England in the very near future.
