Woodward: Stimmo to challenge for RWC place

Clive Woodward has handed our beloved Stimmo another chance to prove that he can cut it at international level. Clive has obviously been impressed with Tim's club form which has been superb all year even though he suffered a two month layoff due to injury.

"Tim wants to make the World Cup squad. He is playing for the outstanding club team in Europe and he has got a big chance at the weekend".

"I thought that in the European Cup final against Munster he looked very strong physically. When I watch him I fast-forward the goalkicks and concentrate on his general play.

"You have got to look at Tim as an overall player, and he is in an ideal position to challenge for the World Cup squad because he can play wing or full-back and can also goal-kick."

However, Tim will not be kicking for England at the weekend.
