Leicester linked to Irish scrum half

Tom Tierney, an Irish scrum half, has been linked with a possible move to Leicester Tigers. With Austin Healey seemingly Tigers first choice fly-half and James Grindal's departure there is a scrum half spot up for grabs. Here's a bit more about the fellow.

Tom Tierney originally played for a Junior club called Richmond in Limerick, which is quite often a feeder club to Garryowen. He joined Garryowen after youth rugby. He played for Munster & Ireland Youths, U21, A and Senior. 8 caps. He lost out to Peter Stringer for Munster and Ireland but obviously isn't willing to put up with that long term. Last season he was unlucky with injuries but hopefully has now put that behind him. He's more of an all-rounder than Stringer. A very nice guy as well !
