Little, Large (and Samoa)

Remember next time!

So there we were. 7.30am on Thursday, 10th October 2002, thoughts with our intrepid reporter, Large, heading off to the airport to catch the plane to Bucharest, to report on Saracens first match in the Parker Pen Challenge Cup. How wrong we were!

In fact, Jason was at the Hospital, where his lovely wife Sara (aka Samoafez) was busy giving birth to their first child, a beautiful baby girl named Phoebe Claudia Madeleine (or minifez as she's now known, until we can come up with something more original), weighing in at healthy 6lb 12oz (maybe a future prop?). Reports that she came out holding a rugby ball are denied, though it no doubt felt like it at times!

Mother and baby are both doing very well, though rumours are that Dad is sulking due to having to miss the trip (nothing to do with the cheap beer at all!!). Unconfirmed reports from the Harris household are that any future 'liaisons' will take place between October and November, so that future babies will be born during the off season!

Of course, the biggest question on everyone's lips is, as Phoebe was born in England, will she grow up wearing the white shirt with the red rose!? Only time will tell, but I know where my money is going!

Seriously, I and everyone at Saracens, would like to send our love and best wishes to Jason, and especially to Sara, on the birth of their first child, and welcome Phoebe into our small family. Congratulations to all 3 of you. Beers are on you next week!
