Bracken out for three weeks

Saracens and England A captain Kyran Bracken has been forced to spend three weeks on the sidelines after it was confirmed that he has suffered a concussion,

The knock-out blow was delivered courtesy of a high tackle from Gloucetester centre Robert Todd early on in the game at Vicarage Road last Sunday, won 29-22 by the visitors.

At the time, Wayne Shelford suggested that if Bracken were to be forced to take a lay-off, that he would cite Todd for foul play, but it is still unclear whether Saracens will take that action.

Bracken's place in the Saracens starting line-up to play Northampton goes to New Zealander Dan Kirton. Luckily, a total scrum-half crisis has been averted thanks to Morgan Williams' return from his recent injury and the Canadian international will be on the bench for Saturday's visit to Franklin's Gardens.
