It was announced by Saracens on Wednesday that they have secured the services of London Wasps prop forward Andy Kershaw in time for the 2003/04 season.

The 25 year old from Barnet returns to the club he played for between the ages of 10 and 18 and for a short time in 2002-03 during a successful loan period from London Wasps.

Kershaw has represented England at U16, U18, colts and U21 levels and after leaving Sarries at 18, he played for London Irish and Galwegians before joining Wasps.

This news will be welcomed by all Saracens fans concerned by the lack of cover at prop due to the departures of international pair David Flatman and Christian Califano. Kershaw is likely to be joined by an as yet un-named colleague in the front row whom Sarries wish to capture soon.
