Sarries land an Italian job

Saracens have drawn Italian side Roma in the first round of the European Challenge Cup. The two leg tie will be played on the first and second week in December.

Should the Men in Black prrogress in the competition, they will face either Montpelier or Glasgow in round two which is scheduled for the second and third weekends in January.

This is the second time Sarries will pit their wits against Italian opposition. In 2001-02 they played Identicar Bologna in the Parker Pen Shield when it was a round robin format, winning 75-10 in Italy and equalling their then European record score with a 113-3 win at Vicarage Road.
