Cholmondley packs his bag

Sarries and England A scrum half Nick Walshe has left the club for pastures new. In an announcement made at the end of the Bristol match, Walshe told the Sarries fans that he is going to play his rugby next season with Sale Sharks.

Since arriving from Harlequins Walshe has been an able deputy for Kyran Bracken, standing in on numerous occasions as the Broken one was being repaired and also stood in as stand-off when the triumverate of McRae, Horan and Castaignede were all off at the same time last season.

Walshe's last cameo at no10 was in the recent defeat up at Sale, whose webside are talking him up as someone who covers both half back positions and kick goals.

I'm certain that Sarries fans will be grateful for Nick's contribution during his time with the club and that they will wish him well with the Sharks. Also, we'll be eternally grateful for THAT tap penalty at Bath earlier this season which sent Timmy Horan on his 60m dash under the sticks to win the game.
