Bath Must Score Their First Try Against Wasps
Bath Action
By Glen Leat
September 14 2002
As we approach the third game of the season the vultures are sitting on the sidelines waiting to pick the decaying flesh from the body of another poor Bath performance. It is too early to judge performance but unless Bath score tries we could be in for another winter of discontent down at the Rec.
Once again we appear to have a very strong
team on paper but, as the old cliche goes,
we play on grass not on paper. We were all
euphoric after that last gasp win on the
opening day of our season at London Irish
but soon came crashing down to earth last
week against the Sarries. Wasps themselves
are not in the best of form and last week
just managed to pip the basement occupying
Shoguns in the dying moments of their game.
With Danny Grewcock desperate to make amends
for his sending off last week and a host
of other players wanting to make their mark
this season on live TV Bath ought to win
this game and I predict that Tom Voyce will
open his try-scoring account with Mike Catt
being announced as man of the match.
Come on Bath give us all something to shout about!!!!
