On 31 January 1998 Bath beat Brive 19 - 18 to win the Heineken Cup and become the first English club to be crowned 'Champions of Europe'. On Thursday 31 January 2013 we'll celebrate the 15th anniversary of that famous win.

Come and join us at The Rec Clubhouse to celebrate our victory and to relive and share the memories. Find out about the origins of the Heineken Cup from someone whose identity will surprise you. Listen to fellow supporters’ memories – the 1 day charter plane round trip, the supporters’ club trip, the celebrations in Bath. View some memorabilia: the Heineken Cup replica, old newspaper articles, programmes etc. Watch the DVD of our famous win.

So far Phil de Glanville, John ‘Shep’ Mallet and Nathan Thomas have confirmed their attendance. Coach Andy Robinson, Jeremy Guscott and Ricky Pellow (now Skills Coach at Exeter Chiefs) are also hoping to be able to join us. Our current coaches Gary Gold, Toby Booth, Mike Ford, and Neal Hatley have also accepted our invitation as well as Danny Grewcock. We hope that some of the other players – and you - will too!

Entry is free for BRSC Members and £5 for non-members.

I can't believe it is 15 years ago! Best weekend of my life (my wife wouldn't be very happy hear that, but still!).
Can't make the reunion but great idea and I hope it goes well.

Might bring my then six week old daughter along; for some reason we didn't take any pictures to show her in full BB&W

Really well organised evening with past (but not very many!) players and all the current coaching staff. Much reminiscing of an amazing event in Bath's history.Thank you BRSC committee and members for organising.

I am a bit saddened that only a couple of posters have bothered to acknowledge this as alot of thought and hard work had been put in by both the Club and the Supporters committee. I'm a bit late doing so, because I can't get on the board during the daytime. I thought it was well organised and for someone who 'wasn't there' gave a good and interesting insight into what a great occasion it was. Although of course the whole rugby fraternity in the country knew about the win, I didn't realise that it was such a close run thing, and that Brive were the current holders at the time. There must have been hundred or more there, with lots of good wishes messages from ex-players, and Shep, Nathan Thomas, P de G, and the inimitable incorrigible (the only words for him) Guscott - light amusing banter between them on their impression of the day and evening after - or what they could remember of it! By the time they got to the team hospitality food, it had all been eaten and most of the team went to McDonalds! Comparison between then and now - not possible.

Did anyone else go? Would love to hear more feedback if anyone has any.

Agree with Annie - & I am one of the guilty: have been a bit busy since Thursday evening.

Well done BRSC for putting it on & many thanks to the players of the great day who spoke. Also to the current coaching team - an intelligent, approachable & engaging group for any who still doubt it - for their perspective on the Heineken Cup and on their ambitions for Bath Rugby.

all in all a most enjoyable evenening.

Maybe some of us are actually quite well brought up and choose to express our thanks more directly to the committee!
