FAIR CITY OR FARCE CITY? LEINSTER V BATH
Underhill; character
By PG Tips
December 8 2021
Bath’s next fixture, against Leinster in the Heineken Cup could descend into farce in Dublin’s fair city on Saturday. Bath, winless and out of sorts, with an injury crisis impacting half their squad, face the URC’s top side, 4 times winners of the Cup. Leinster can call on 9 of Ireland’s victorious starting XV against the All Blacks last month, while Bath must manage without their Lions and first choice half backs. Their prospects look decidedly iffy on the banks of the Liffey.
One small ray of hope for Bath is Leinster’s own casualty list. 4 iconic players, Healy, Ryan, Conan and Captain Sexton are classed as “requiring further assessment” as they recover from a variety of injuries and are unlikely to be risked. In addition, internationals Leavy and Gibson-Park have only just returned to training. Their integration should however be smooth, if fit enough to feature. The Dubliners can still call on an all-Ireland front row, backed up by national team- mates Toner, Doris and van der Flier. Behind them, Ross Byrne should prove a capable deputy for Sexton, to bring the best out of an international backline blessed with power, pace and penetration. Bath by contrast could be forced to field an inexperienced backline without even a specialist fly half.
Injury disruption contributed to Bath’s hapless performance last weekend against Northampton Saints but was only part of the story. Once again Bath’s defence was too narrow, the pack, though improved, could not dominate (except in one area) and was outwitted at the breakdown. While Saints attacks sparkled with slick handling and support play, Bath’s were laboured, reliant on defiance and driving mauls for headway and scores.
Defiance and determination look like Bath’s best hope of coming away from Dublin with dignity and bodies intact. While their spirit cannot be questioned, nor the promise of the youngsters who are having to step up, the gulf in experience and cohesion looks stark. It will be a daunting task in front of 50,000 baying for early Christmas cheer. Horror show comes to mind as much as farce.
Next week fans should hear “further detail of the review and …..actions arising.” Hopefully there are more recommendations and more planned remedies than we have heard so far. If not, with La Rochelle, a resurgent Gloucester and Exeter the next visitors to the Rec, it is hard to see where a win will come from this year.
Sam Underhill in a post-match interview spoke of “digging in”, pride and belief. His own performances epitomise all three. The road to recovery starts with character. There should be plenty of chances for Bath to show theirs on Saturday.

That said, all the very best good wishes to the boys in BB&W as ever. Bit of an Heny V Agincourt speech type scenario?

Charlie Ewels on a horse would be handy, but that is a fair point, time for what senior players are left in the team to go to the next level in terms of leadership on the pitch. Unfortunately there may well be opportunities to talk to the players under the posts, let's use it.
If Leinster get 30 points up (I refuse to say when) there is a chance they will back off slightly and we need to take any opportunity. Be professional, never give up.
Quote:BathMatt53
Well 3 days out the bookies give Leinster a 32 point handicap which doesn't sound too promising. Bath 66-1 in a 2 horse race. Irrespective of the score, if we leave Dublin with no serious injuries I will be content.
Realistically that's the only realistic outcome we can hope for. If they score less than 50pts then Bath will have done well.
If all are fit then the picture changes - but a steep challenge remains.

Doesn't make sense to risk them in a game that's impossible for Bath to win. Better save them for La Rochelle at home where there is at least a minimal chance of winning given that French sides traditionally don't travel too well.
A decent showing against la rochelle and then into a very important run of league games (important in that they feel potentially winnable and may lift the gloom a little).
Appreciate some may hope we keep getting walloped every week to force people's hand but personally don't see any changes now over and above defence coach so I am getting behind them all.
So absolutely no point in rushing back any players not 100%.
If we can score a couple of well worked tries, no more injuries and keep it to less than 20 point point difference I'd be very happy.
Our only hope is that Leinster are over confident (who can blame them) and we keep it reasonable - my concern is that they won't as this is the first game and we all know the importance of getting a flying start and their coaching team are too shrewd and switched on to allow that to happen.
As long as we do not pick up any serious injuries I am not actually bothered about the score because it counts for nothing in our current predicament what I do seriously care about is player welfare.
... IMHO, of course.

Unless you don't want it, if that's the case then please leave the club.
It's time to stand up and be counted. Take control and play your own way. Ignore the coaches if you have too.

Strange team. Wafer thin bench. Anything under 50 conceded will be a huge result. Injuries etc aside, what a state of affairs.

I'm glad as wouldn't want youngsters just 'sacrificed' as happened at Kingsholm.
I think that's a slightly skewed view of what happened. The Prem Cup was supposed to be a developmental competition so sides should be playing young teams. Gloucs just went harder with a pretty-much full strength starting team.
No 10 cover again and now no back row cover either. We are going to get mullered at the breakdown with that lineup.

No one fit or ready? Can't put Warboys etc. in front of that lot can you?
Tbf still wouldn't be even vaguely confident if we had our best available 23 which I guess may include beno, coetzee, faletau, underhill, cips, jj, rmc, watson.
I think that says it all about out front 5 options- only missing 1 player of note and fully expect them to get taken to pieces.
Obano
Schoeman J
Jonker
WIlliams
Underhill
Coetzee
Reid
Faletau

Mojo made an OK fist of it at 10 last week. Wonder if spencee going there was the original plan but he was off himself by then.
Agree matt, I think availability only makes a slight diff this week to margin of defeat.
I am not sure jonker is out, just not v good at rugby from the limited times we have seen him

That would leave players including Reid, Bailey, Ojomoh and Muir kicking their heels. When you look at it like that the squad depth, in theory, is actually pretty impressive. Unfortunately theory doesn't translate to reality.
Is this really Stuart Hooper's fault?

We'll never know sadly. This team will never play together. I don't expect Obano, Faletau, Cipriani, Joseph, Boyce, Rae and Schoeman to be here next season.
In the current environment and even with the team Malco has posted above there is no guarantee they would perform and if we are brutally honest when we have put out a team very close to the above over the past 2 seasons and they have flattered to deceive on many occasions.
I would say something is wrong somewhere?

I see these games as warm up/experience games for the likes of OB, Mojo, Butt, GHW, Richards, Cordwell, the more time they get in the first team the deeper our strength in depth gets.

Leinster are one of the best club teams in the world, have put out a great team, are at home and the very best teams in europe would struggle against them...which isn't Bath. As Baxter said, its only going to get more difficult with the £5m cap over the next couple of years (I think that the Pro 14 is about double that?).
Its the United Rugby Championship now Matt and 16 teams, seems about right on the money though, 185 million Rand so about £9,000,000

Does anyone know the contract status of rae and jonker? Can't find any mention of it when they were announced earlier in the year?
Think that list of leavers will prove fairly accurate
Will the TV present it the other way around tomorrow and discuss in the build up how the English club teams are the underdogs versus the Irish provinces?
I just saw a headline saying 'COVID Hit Leinster Name Team v Bath', no mention of our injury list so maybe not!

Is this really Stuart Hooper's fault?
He certainly isn't a 'lucky general'.
He signs what the squad was crying out for ...
- a fly-half who could start games, but wouldn't stand in the way of Bailey's development. Immediately and long-term injured.
- an aggressive, ball-carrying unit for the back-row (by definition a Bok). Immediately and long-term injured.
- a short-term, but experienced emergency option at 10. Sustains more HIAs than the rest of his career put together
- what's the backline missing? A big, gainline buster .... oops, permanently injured

Fair context. I broadly don't have many issues with his recruitment and retention bar the odd clanger. Our squad is decent.
Quote:hasta
My only issues with recruitment has been in the front row. The bad luck with other signings is remarkable.
You really need 2 v good options plus a reliable third choice in the front row. Not convinced we have that in any of those positions. It's early to judge rae/jonker but it's clear the coaches are underwhelmed which is a bit embarrassing.
2nd row as much discussed is the big clanger for me together with management of our 9s.
Elsewhere not all options are perfect but they are fine I thin ie back row, 10 (landy starting to solve that problem), centre and back 3.
Injuries situation is a nightmare but how often is malco able to name a good injured xv- pretty standard for all prem clubs to be missing lots of players each week. It's fine as an excuse in Europe when you are already playing opposition which huge salary cap advantage.
In the prem we shoot ourselves in the foot by complety lacking strategy in selection. We wait for an injury crisis to blood loads of inexperience together. They should now reward players who have stood up well in adversity but they will probably go back to the status quo.... circle back to these guys when we have another injury crisis after they have been collecting cobwebs for a while. You have to trust your squad and depth. Develop them at opportune times

Arguably also bayliss/ellis, bailey and muir.
I completely agree its an awful , almost laughable, injury list but I would says it's fairly commonplace to be missing 10+ of your best 30 players sadly.
Thankfully it sounds as if the likes of rmc, cips, underhill, jj should be back imminently and followed by the likes of coko, redpath, faletau, schoeman in jan.
Trouble is we will pick up more injuries in the meantime. The prem based players have a brutal schedule.
What is the answer? Unless we are doing anything v silly that adds to the issues then I think you have to suck it up. I do think part of it is developing the depth by rotation. How long is stuart going to last having to play every week and go for 70+ mins

I don't think that it helps being so loyal to some injury-prone players in such a salary cap constrained world. I know that sounds horrible / ridiculous of me but when we are renewing the contracts of highly paid players who basically never play, something has to give. Manu Tuilagi and Henry Trinder are the obvious examples from other clubs, Joe Cokanasiga and Taulupe Faletau probably account for more than 10% of the current Bath cap (or a marquee slot) I would guess*? Max Clarke much cheaper but 52 starts in over 6 years (about half of which were in 2 seasons) is not a good return. I'm not talking about people breaking things or even head knocks, but more the recurring issues that some players seem to pick up.
Taulupe Faletau was barely injured before we signed him so can't criticise that at all, but it seems that there was a games vs value vs likelihood of injury discussion this time around. Think they need a few more of these.
(*although my understanding is that if you don't play one game in the entire season then your salary is excluded in its entirety)

The Babbling 'brook (Leinster fans' site) pointing out that we can't even spell our players' names correctly (Richrad) on the Big Cup team sheet. I don't think we're taking this match very seriously...
That is the old English spelling of Richard. Thought the country of Tadhg, Niamh and Siobhan might cut us some slack!
Imho clark was v mediocre for several years as he never played so never improved.
He stayed fit for a period and looked a decent prem player.... then got injured again.
Can we stick with will spencer who seems to have a bath curse. Averages about 5 games a season for us and about 20 for wuss and leic.
Beno has had some horrific injuries over the last 3 years and I think has gone backwards because of it.
Faletau tbf always looks decent when he plays but again he is absolutely not the player he was 5-10 years ago because he is constantly rehashing fron injuries.
If you were being ruthless it's very hard to justify a high paid winger who is never fit like coko when you have 3 locks in an attritional league often played in the rain.
Let's hope coetzees luck changes ASAP.
Guess the flipside if you are looking for players who are relatively bullet proof to injury you are left with about 5% of the market.
Tbf to hoops he has spoken alot recently about getting more vfm/availability into the squad. Clearly he is aware but resolving it not easy. The fringe international players are an issue to me. Lose them a lot but aren't absolute game changers when available.
My amateur, uninformed suspicion is that we train at an intensity level too high during the week. Which might be indicative of a team on a run of bad results - bit of a chicken and egg scenario. When we had that brilliant run in at the end of the 2019 season, I felt that due to the midweek games we scaled back training and that helped players stay fit.
Hopefully this might be something that comes out of the report - besides needing more physios.
Quote:hasta
Bath are 40/1 for this game on Betfair. In no way do I think that we're going to win, but those odds are insane for a two horse race.
They were 66/1 after the teams were announced yesterday. Either something we don't know, covid or just shortening because some bets are going on?

Quins are v vocal in saying alot of their success last season was due to scaling back training massively.
As you its a virtuous circle- win some games, confidence high, less things to work on....need less training.
Also in the modern game you could work 30-40 hours a week with v little of that being intense physical training. Lots of analysis to be done, mental health coaching/wellbeing/psychology, game recovery etc. It not being lazy or not working hard, it's an acceptance that modern day rugby is brutal and if you do too much of it you break people for long periods of time.
This could give very strong evidence about the root causes, what inherent problems we have and what lessons can be learned.

It would be interesting to plot the players who have been injured over the last three seasons, what position they play, how they got injured, what their recovery time was, whether they sustained repeated injuries after returning, if those injuries were associated and generally what the trends and patterns are.

Wouldn't the 'fitness/conditioning coach' be doing that as a matter of course though?

Yep based on the last 9 weeks.
Can't fault the effort and commitment.
Bailey was excellent throughout.
Bailey is growing each game, which is good. Gabe's line for his try was excellent off a well worked set piece but other than that there really was little to take from it.

Don't think a defence coach is going to be our panacea. He might reduce the loss points deficit, but unless we find a true leader and a play-to-our-strength game plan with all player buy-in we will not begin to start winning.

My friend watched it and said we were fairly abject and the gulf in class was huge.
Thought only real positives were bailey did well and richards looked decent off the bench. No obvious serious injuries either.
Tbh I would take that and move on- sadly was only ever going to be damage limitation but do feel the next set of games offer genuine opps to win and boy do we need a few!
We learned today that we're not as good as the Irish national side. I think we knew that before kickoff.
Our objective has to be to get out of Big Cup as soon as we can and with the fewest injuries possible. Our race is not with these guys this season. Or for the foreseeable future.

My only slight hope is by bringing a defence coach in you also get hats into a more appropriate role so 2 hopefully positive changes in effect.
I am coming round to the deckchairs on the titanic analogy but try to be positive as think we are stuck with this til at least the end of the season...

You are probably right CB but part of me worries what damage will be done if we endure the rest of the season in this manner. Hatley seems to be a busted flush & I would have thought it to be in his interests as well as ours for him to move on. The alarming thing is that Hooper seems to proceed in exactly the same way overseeing this dross.
Quote:Particularly strange to not mention the Bath injuries when that was the sole topic of questions the BBC reporter in the ‘meet the press’ session with Hooper shared by the club…B4thB4ck
Here is the BBC report. Apparently Leinster were disrupted by the 3 players missing through COVID. No mention of our 15 (?) missing through injury but there you go, that's what you get as the basement club.

Sorry Bath you won't get a 1p from me until someone takes hold of this club and sacks all the coaching staff. It's a shambles.
The only positive is Leinster didn't want to put up a cricket score.
Ta rah then. See you again when thing are easy and you can reclaim your slot as ‘ Baths number one fan’. I for one shall be at the Rec next weekend, we’ll equipped with a pint of Gem and some gallows humour.
However the league results to date should have resulted Hooper/Hatley quitting or being sacked. Instead we have chosen to tinker and continue to accept losing as no big problem.

Good for you. I’ll be exchanging my ticket & agree with BB. There’s no reason to expect a different outcome.
I’ll be going to the Rec next weekend and hope to see an entertaining match, regardless of the result.

Thought de Carpentier and Ellis came out of that with a lot of credit. Bailey did really well. Butt was very anonymous but came into it a bit late on. We were outclassed by a country mile, but signs there that we will win before too very long.
Thought Bayliss had a very good game overall too and Bailey/Ojomoh look like building a very strong 10/12 unit when looking to attack
Second half effort in defence was a surprisingly positive - the constant Leinster wave could have led to a cricket score
Again just goes to show how remote our chances are of ever getting very far in this cup in my lifetime
Completely agree with those though defence is a big weakness in competing against very good teams but it isn't the only big problem. Yes, we need a seriously good Defence coach that has ben blindingly evident from before start of season but if he is that good he will bring experience and qualities in other areas of the game which just begs the question around either Hats or Hoops or both

However, the pluses for me is that they fought to the end and the experience of playing at the Aviva will be immense for the youngsters against nearly a full international team away from home.
However the biggest plus was Gabe’s try under the posts which must have annoyed the Leinster coaching team immensely!

Bailey did really well.
Remember when our coaches via Ben Spencer avoided passing to this young talent? Totally incomprehensible, though they will no doubt say that protection made him what he is today.
I find it bordering on the criminal that we are offering him a season of games with little or no chance of winning a game. The Bailey/Ojomo partnership has the potential to become exceptional.

I believe Leinster were/are favourites to win the cup. I think most on here if honest would say that our result was better than expected.
Can't disagree with that and with the reduced salary cap there's little point in Bath expending too much energy in trying to compete in the competition.

Biased BBC b/s. ☹️
The process of development goes through various stages..........
1. Hope (Sale away losing to the final kick of the match)
2. Disbelief (Newcastle at home where props and hookers seemed to make devastating runs for fun with no defence)
3. Despair (the ongoing losses and injuries and the fact we always train well)
4. Absolute despair and incredulity (Saracens)
5. Not as bad as the awful result we expected and unrealistic views (why didn't someone stop Simmonds scoring for Exeter when it was clear from half time when they bought their new front row on we were going to lose)
6. Some signs of some players doing quite well amongst the generally poor play (Saints away with 6 tries to 3)
7 Expectation of 60 - 0 that ends up (for a multiple of reasons) as "only" 45 - 20 against Ireland (sorry I meant to write Leinster) in the National Stadium.

As others have stated, things are not going to change overnight no matter who is in charge. The only way forward now is to keep giving the young guys exposure and drift in some experience along the way. Personally I wouldnt care if Faletau didnt play for us this season but for short term confidence we do need him fit along with Redpath and Joe asap. Hamer Webb really should be starting over Rocco (sorry Rocco we all still love you) and why if the coaches really dont fancy Green or Fox why not let Carr Smith have a bench spot? Oh and as for tighthead... We need a big lump for the six nations or we just cant compete!
Agree with all this.
Getting players back available will help confidence and morale. Also allow rotation and hopefully allow us to get on top of this injury crisis.
For tight calls I would definitely be keen to keep givng young guys games.
As you say we all love roko but likely he won't be here next season and ghw will.
Ditto with carr-smith compared to green....and possibly fox who surely isn't happy being behind Simpson.
Would rather see richards getting games at 6 than the likes of williams and faletau tho as you say think getting players like TF back in the 23 can only be positive.
Going to humiliate myself here with my blind optimism now but I have a little inkling we may sneak a win on Saturday (watch the 50 point defeat happen now!)
Quote:OutsideBath
I agree CB, suspect we will beat La Rochelle on Saturday. Watched them against Glasgow and they weren’t that impressive.
Yeah I watched the game and wasn't that impressed although they clearly have some v v good players.
Was it anything like their best team? Not seem any top 14 this season....
I always think 6 day turnarounds are tough esp when there is a decent bit of travelling involved.
On the other hand Leinster definitely took their foot off the gas - that first 30 minutes I think shocked them just how easy they found the game - TRP secured by 20 minutes and it literally was a semi-opposed training session for them.
That said and the gulf in class was evident throughout. I too was not impressed with La Rochelle, however how much of that was the fact Glasgow stopped them playing? Glasgow are a very good side with many internationals and deserve credit in their own right.
My concern next week will be up front - I am not concerned about La Rochelle's back play but their pack is enormous and physical - given how easy Leinster marched through us is concerning but then every team this season has carved us apart.
Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 2021:12:13:08:49:36 by Ali1969.
As you say their pack will be enormous so we will have to be smart and not get trapped with defensive scrums and lineouts within 10 yds of our line.
May be a decent game for will spencer, the man is a brute and has a few games under the belt now- sounded like the scrum improved a little when he was locking it out.
Didn't get any obvious injuries and hopeful we may have some of underhill, cips, jj and rmc back as options. Also wonder if there may be some positive news this week in terms of retention/recruitment/new defence coach which will put a spring in the step- absolutely no inside knowledge there BTW!

Nothing wrong with that CB! There are some signs, we are breaking the line better with OB but it like batting with a golf club. Too much gets past us. Individually the back row tackled well but we were undone by the offload and were simply overwhelmed by their attacks.
We can still get a win but I suspect it will be because someone gets overconfident. We are simply battered up front never getting the ball going forward.
Just wish were were a bit more aggressive, even a bit nasty, all a bit hard to watch at the moment so your optimism is welcomed.

It really doesn't matter where or how a win comes - can be through outrageous good fortune, opposition complacency, incompetent refereeing, Covid or other injury-disrupted opposition.
We've suffered more than enough slings and arrows of our own this year.
Anyone's who ever had a 'trot' as a batter knows that you only get out of it with a big dose of luck from a dropped catch or a dodgy umpiring decision in your favour. But that's often the precursor to a run of form.
However it is a process back.....to winning a game. It will not happen overnight.
However very little marginal gains like winning a scrum penalty for example, or a mazy run by one individual for 40 yards will lift everybody.
They are currently, I suspect in a bunker mentality which I would develop as from that comes a group defiant spirit. Almost you can score tries against us but we will always come back. Then it will be less tries scored against and the odd one for plus some penalty kicks. Then it will be a very close loss then a marginal and lucky win.......

Slightly staggering that we are in the position this far into the season of hoping, rather than expecting, that we will win a game.
I know in elite sport wins are never foregone conclusions but in any season there were a few fixtures that we could have targeted to win (home games, for example, or against teams themselves in a poor run of form).
Now I can't really see where the next win, barring a fluke result or Covid cancellation, is coming from for the next couple of months.
We're at the stage of looking for the positives in one piece of individual brilliance, rather than the overall team performance. I know there's always got to be losers as well as winners in sport, but does it have to be so abject? At this rate we're going to give London Welsh a run for their money...
Confidence is important and must be rock bottom- would be interesting to see if there was any kick on from a win of any kind, no matter how flukes or ill deserved or against a covid riddled opposition.
... IMHO, of course.

Yep, usually (and no disrespect to Wuss) I'd have expected to beat them at the Rec, simply based on past results. But Wuss beating Irish, Sale, Bris and Wasps suggests that's unlikely to happen this time.
Glos beat Sale, Wasps, Exe and Bris across all comps and of course the tonking they gave us in the little cup all suggests that'll be a hard match too. It does seem there's genuinely no easy games any more (apart from against us!).

I'd prefer to see every single game forming a coherent strategy designed to enable us to arrive in better shape next season. The season is now no more than the equivalent of a pre-season game.
If that means giving Carr-Smith a start (or a proper 30 minutes off the bench) and risking a result, then that's fine. If it means not rushing back injured senior players (who will be here), that's fine. If it means playing a current second-choice over a first-choice player who the management know won't be here next season, that's fine.

I don't think we can look at any one game and 'target' it for a win. Cliched as it is, this is the ultimate 'anyone can beat anyone' league.

This is my biggest frustration though Opti. As a club we simply don't do anything of the sort. Players like Carr-Smith, Fox, Worboys et al should definitely be getting time in this season where everything has become meaningless. I mentioned this in relation to Bailey. There was no planned introduction even though we were told regularly these players were 'highly valued'. Bailey was played simply because we ran out of 10's through injury.
We will never know what these players are like till they get a chance to play in the senior games. Its infuriating we pick the side that looks like it will do best rather than admit we can't win and learn about these players.
We may be getting thumped on a regular basis and have massive injury issues but we are blooding players who if they get a win should keep their place.
If Faletau were fit he would instantly replace Bayliss, is that right?

Completely agree provided the "coherent strategy" goes beyond match day selection and each game as it comes game-plan.
It needs to also address the blaring holes in our coaching set up. Defence, scrum and breakdown [speed of getting our ball away and slowing down opposition without giving up penalties] are the top 3 as I see it
Success next year for me anyway is winning the euro Challenge Cup and top 6 in the prem. The coherent strategy has to have those twin targets firmly in mind based firmly on getting what Woodward called a 'winning' mentality

There should be a group of young players identified who they should be aiming to get fully prem ready ready for next season while we have the chance.
Not just because there are no other options but to grow depth and allow rotation which helps in many many ways.
There should be players they are aiming to get 5-10 games into irrespective of injuries and availability- personally think that's the likes of cordwell, doughty, stewart, verden, merigan, staddon (when fit), carr-smith, worboys, butt, venter. Some of those had brief goes due to injury.- some may not be good enough (better to know now).
others should get lots more exposure based on what they have shown already eg bailey, mojo, richards, ghw.they have outshone many senior colleagues so in my mind are ready to be in the 23 most weeks.
Need to manage it and be strategic with it- how much would stewart learn between boyce and stuart with mcnally and ewels behind. Merigan could play with faletau at 6 helping him. Carr-smith could come off bench with faletau at 8 and cips at 10 etc etc.

I don’t want Bath to remaining in this parless state but I have no interest in discussing particular matches - I’d rather ignore them. Spot on BathMatt - I also have also witnessed it in conversations with mates - the passion and desire for the club which drove the anger and disappointment and many of the posts on here has been drained and sucked out of them and myself included, much by the dithering and the projected/perceived reluctance to address issues by the club - heads are still very much buried in the sand - It was just so embarrassing just how easy Leinster found us in the first 30 minutes of Saturday - I have no doubt if Leinster had kept focussed it would have been in excess of 100 points.
That is not to detract from the effort the players exerted in the second half - A game should not be over and finished after 20 minutes no matter how bad you are.
