What Did You Read On ERE In July?

At the start of another month I thought it would be interesting to look at what you've been clicking on within ERE over the past month. The table below shows how many people have clicked on the various stories we have on display and this proves that we don't all just stick to the Messageboard.

Clearly the headline stories are most popular, which is no surprise, but I was intrigued by the number of you who clicked on the Stickers story and the Chat Room. I think this may indicate that we are continuing to draw in new visitors on a continuous basis who are navigating around the site to see what's included. As much as I enjoy the friendship of all you "old timers" it's great to start getting input from new faces and I get a warm feeling every time I read the message that starts, "I've watched from afar for some time and this is my first post...". I hope those who just come in to browse feel welcomed by the regulars and will soon start making comments on the Messageboard: your comments will be very welcome. 

I still have a stock of car stickers and badges so don't be shy in dropping me a note asking for these items.

 

 

Regular readers will know that I like to share the number of page views with you all at the end of each month and you can click through to the stats by clicking on page views.

Here we are, at the height of the holiday season, little rugby to talk about and we're still getting 232,000 page views. This is more than we were getting during the season a couple of years ago and perhaps suggests that ERE has become a regular feature in the lives of quite a few of us.

I'm getting to that time in the year when I'm thinking about what can happen within the site for next season. The good news is that Andy will once again run the ERE Fantasy League, which I know is popular with many of you. We'll also have the Prediction League. I'm also looking for ideas others of you may have to contribute to help make the site more enjoyable.

During the past 5 years I've written all but a handful of match previews and reports and I'll be very happy for others to contribute in this area if they wish so we can see a different perspective other than my myopic opinions. If you are interested in doing one or more reports next season please e-mail me and we'll make the necessary arrangements.

The photos on this site have become something of a revelation (well to me at least!). The pictures you have sent in to date have ranged from really good to nothing short of artistic and I hope this will continue next season. I gratefully receive any of your shots and will post them up for the enjoyment of others. In these days of picture copyright it is a nightmare for sites like ours (where no money ever changes hands for the running of the site) to get good player shots for free and your input is crucial to this.
