The OrangeArrows Cosworth A23 finally took to the track at a 'proper' test at Valencia today. The new A23 arrived at the circuit this morning, and the team spent the morning getting the car ready for an afternoon run. Enrique Bernoldi was the lucky driver and managed to post an 11th fastest time.
The weather and track conditions at Valencia were far from favourable today, with most of the teams present complaining of high winds and as a result dust on the track.
Enrique Bernoldi managed to complete 16 laps this afternoon without any reported problems. His 11th fastest time was some 3 seconds off the eventual pace today, but the team should still be encouraged - Enrique only completed 16 laps and there are plenty of new car that have faired worse in the first outing.
Unfortunately this site does not have access to any picture material from todays test.
Arrows continue their test programme tomorrow.
