Did Jos Verstappen turn down a test drive at Ferrari ? That is the question being asked by the Dutch news site formule.nl today, as a result of an article in the Dutch newspaper 'De Telegraaf'. Apparently refused the offer in order to honor his commitment to the OrangeArrows team.

Formule1.nl reports that Jos Verstappen was offered a test seat by Ferrari team manager Jean Todt. The Verstappen's were holidaying with Michael Schumacher and his family at the time in Norway, and a meeting supposedly took place between Jean and Jos on the 15th of December.
'De Telegraaf' has stated that Jos Verstappen turned the offer down because he felt obligated to fulfill the terms of his contract with OrangeArrows, which was confirmed by the team in June 2001. Shortly after Jos turned the offer down, Luciano Burti was officially announced by the Ferrari team as their official test driver.

This site is attempting to get the 'De Telegraaf' report confirmed.
