Verstappen says he will drive again - soon !

With the fans of Jos Verstappen absorbing, analysing and reworking just about every single piece of news about him at the moment, it is pleasing to know that the man himself is calm and in control of the situation. He will be back, he says !

Jos recently turned down what has now turned up to be the best option he had - a test drive for Ferrari - but he is not being downbeat about the situation. Formula 1 moves in mysterious ways and throughout the 2001 season there were several driver re-shuffles, something that Jos is keen to take advantage of if he can.

"I can't see into the future but nothing is certain," he said during a recent TV interview. "But I do believe that I will be driving in the coming season. What is this thought based on you ask? Well my GUT feeling."

"I know for sure that if something happens in Formula One, that I will be one of the serious contenders to take over a seat. We have had talks with every team that is no secret, Mika Salo, for example, is charmed by my driving capabilities and experience. We just look at the opportunities at hand, that's all I can say about it at the moment. I can name a few other names, but nothing more!

"I'll expect to be driving this season, and maybe even sooner then many people may think."
