Arrows 1st and 3rd at a damp Silverstone today

Heinz-Harald Frentzen made the most of a dry track to take the top honours at Silverstone today. The OrangeArrows cars were the most active, with Frentzen and team mate Enrique Bernoldi recording 80 timed laps between them. The testing continues tomorrow.

The session today started very damp due to overnight rain, and the addition of a gusting wind made track conditions difficult. Rain showers throughout the morning meant that the teams had their work cut out for them dodging the showers, and as a result all the drivers present at this test were quick to get their installation laps in.

OrangeArrows were quick too to get the laps in, with the team doing much of the running in the morning session. Heinz-Harald Frentzen obviously found the sweet line on the track easily posting the fastest time of the day ahead of Jordan's Takuma Sato. He was joined again today by team mate Enrique Bernoldi who is showing some improved form this year so far by posting the third fastest time of the day. Fortunately there was no repeat of the gearbox problems that cut short the teams testing programme yesterday.

Heavy rain in the afternoon seriously interrupted track time, and the team will continue at Silverstone tomorrow.
