Rain ruins the chance to improve in Australia

The teams indifference to the lowly timesheets positions yesterday appeared to be well founded with both Arrows drivers setting competitive times in free practice today. Unfortunately rain interrupted the teams programme. Still 14th and 16th in nothing to complain about.

Third practice on Saturday started dry, but dark clouds overhead threatened to spoil that situation.

OrangeArrow's Heinz-Harald Frentzen didn't take to the track until 10 minutes of the session had elapsed, and on his first flying lap sets the 4th fastest time. Enrique Bernoldi shortly joins his more experienced team mate, and both drivers improve sharply with Frentzen taking second spot and Bernoldi third.

Frentzen put in a total of 12 laps and Bernoldi 14, and the two ended the third session in 14th and 15th place.

The fourth and final session also started dry, but with 30 minutes gone and very little track action light drizzle starts to fall turning to full rain 5 minutes later. Unsurprisingly the Arrows boys times didn't improve, but McNish in the Toyota did pushing Enrique Bernoldi down one place to 16th.
