Monaco GP: ROKiT Williams again slowest in qualifying

Team Summary:
With the first runs it would be Leclerc fastest with a 1m:12.825 from Magnussen and Ricciardo. Verstappen would go quickest with a 1m:11.725 followed now by Hamilton and Albon. But Magnussen was now second followed by Gasly, Bottas, and Hamilton fifth. Verstappen would improve with a 1m:11.597. Bottas would move ahead with a 1m:11.562 from Verstappen and Hamilton. Gasly was still fourth followed by Grosjean, Magnussen, Leclerc, Sainz, Kvyat, and Albon tenth. With the end of the session it would be Vettel who would put in a last minute lap of 1m:11.434 to be ahead of now Hamilton and Bottas. The biggest surprise of the period was Leclerc not making it through the first period after been kept in his pit while others were running. Unsurprisingly neither Williams would make it past the first period again finishing in 19th and 20th.

The second period would see after their first runs Bottas fastest with a 1m:10.701 from Hamilton and Verstappen. Kvyat was fourth followed by Ricciardo, Sainz, Gasly, Hulkenberg, Vettel, and Albon tenth. The second runs would see Verstappen go fastest with a 1m:10.618 with Vettel now fourth. With the end of the period it would see Verstappen remain fastest from Bottas, Hamilton, Vettel, Magnussen, Kvyat, Albon, Gasly, Ricciardo and Sainz tenth.

The final period would see Bottas quickest with a 1m:10.252 after the first runs. Verstappen would go second followed by Vettel, Gasly, Magnussen, Kvyat, and Sainz. But Hamilton was able to move in to second ahead of Verstappen. Behind Verstappen the order was Vettel, Gasly, Ricciardo, Magnussen, Kvyat, Albon and Sainz in tenth. The second runs would see Hamilton go quickest with a 1m:10.166 from Bottas, Verstappen, Vettel, Gasly, Magnussen, Ricciardo, Kvyat, Sainz, and Albon. Vettel had run wide hitting the barrier seeing him fail to improve. For Williams qualifying produced an expected result but their pace to the cars in front was a step forward. Starting from last it is going to be a race of staying out of other drivers way and you never know what may come and if the weather comes into play.

Robert Kubica:
Robert would be out first for Williams for his qualifying run using the soft tyre. Robert would complete some slow laps prior to eventually setting a time of 1m:15.295 to be slowest. This was a considerable margin behind his pace in the final practice session. But Robert would find pace setting a 1m:14.736 to move ahead of his team-mate and be 19th. Robert would also pit taking on a new set of soft tyres. He would set a 1m:14.035 remaining behind his team-mate. Robert would produce a 1m:13.751 to close the gap to his team-mate. But with the end of the period Robert would again be out of qualifying.

George Russell:
George would follow team-mate Robert out also on the soft tyres. A 1m:16,640 from George on his first lap. George would improve with a 1m:14.848 but this would only see him 19th and he would pit after a four lap run. he would drop behind his team-mate coming back out on new soft tyres. George would set a 1m:13.664 to now be in 19th and just 0.179 behind Stroll. George would find more time with a 1m:13.477 remaining in 19th. George would pit ending his qualifying as he would not move ahead finishing in 19th. George would be 0.631 behind Stroll so Sunday's race may produce a different result.
