Saudi Arabian GP: Williams Racing Grand Prix Preview
By Williams Racing
December 1 2021
In what will be the first race for the Williams Racing Team after the passing of their founder and former Team Principal Sir Frank Williams the team will be racing in his honour. His life will be celebrated during the weekend. But most importantly it will very much be the case of the team racing for Sir Frank this weekend. LET'S DO THIS FOR FRANK!

I wonder if they have any ‘special tyres’ / ‘special fuels’ discretely available for Williams this weekend. Would love Uncle Bernie to give us a hand but I think Uncle Ross might not be so generous with his gifts.
Just joking re the above.
I hope they give a FW06 in Saudi colours a run round the track, or get Damon out in a FW 18. I’m sure there will be a one minutes silence for SFW or more do a one minute if revving engines.
Most if all I will be really disappointed if the Williams cars / overalls aren’t showing degrees of reference to SFW, the original Frank Williams arrow, the WGPE logo of the 1980’s. There’s room on the cars and no excuse fir not doing so. The team won’t have time for a full redo ray / special livery as far away from base, but some new decals should be added. Number of wins, piles, fastest laps, championships, 51 years as a team principle. I will be very frustrated if that’s not on the cars.
Most so I want Ross Brawn introducing the Saudi Royal family to the team, and suggesting very strongly they get sponsoring it again! Not buying it as per Newcastle United, but putting fine money through the team. That’s what Bernie did…he definitely steered Martini to us and I’ve no doubt other big sponsors before.
I will judge Dorilton by how they present the cars this weekend.

I look forward to see how he will be remembered. I just hope it is a bit more deep and meaningful than their WeRaceAsOne effort.
