Webber Excited by Red Bull Improvement & Potential

Mark Webber had never seen the chequered flag at the Malaysian Grand Prix before so his 10th place finish in today’s 56-lap Malaysian Grand Prix was cause for a minor personal celebration!

More importantly though, it marked another step forward for Red Bull Racing as the team continues to advance the development of its Adrian Newey-designed RB3.

“No question about it, as a team we did a much better job than we did in Melbourne,” said Webber, “It’s been a very, very hard week for the team; recovering from the test here last week and coming up to five weeks on the road travelling. To get a car home today on the lead lap is so much further ahead than where we were two months ago – we must continue this progression. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not excited about finishing 10^th – I’m excited about the potential we’re beginning to tap into and the direction we’re moving in”
