As part of their 10 days testing, Antonio Pizzonia was on-track testing for Jaguars Formula One Racing Team at Mugello On Thursday and Friday. Antonio has come under a considerable amount of criticism with quotes like....
"I don't think it is a great secret that Antonio's position is under review." "There are a lot of things about his performances so far this year that are causing us concern. The level of disparity between his performances and those of his teammate Mark Webber is alarming." coming from Jaguar spokesperson Nav Sidhu
Jaguar later made the following statement in an attempt to dampen speculation about his possible replacement "It's clear that he hasn't had the best start to his season, but nonetheless we are committed towards addressing this and helping Antonio." Nav Sidhu.
Mark had been testing on Wednesday and Antonio continued on Thurday and friday.
They team was working on Launch control(essential after the starts at Imola) Aerodynamics and suspension components.
Hopefully the work helps to improve the cars performance and the extra mileage gives Pizzonia, that little something he has been lacking in past races. It is hoped too that his confidence levels don't drop, as criticism increases.
Unfortunately technical problems limited his running to 35 laps on Thursday. The programme wasn't necessarily aimed at achieving the fastest time. Friday proved more productive with Antonio completing 73 laps.
