Cotterill To Wolves?

BURNLEY Town Boss Steve Cotterill is the latest name to be linked with the vacant managerial job at Molineux. Wolves are on the hunt for a new boss after Hoddle's shock resignation a week ago.

The Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey has made it no secret that he wants a quick appointment following the shock resignation of former boss Glenn Hoddle a week ago and the Express and Star today reports that Burnley's Steve Cotterill is a "leading player" in the race to succeed Hoddle.

Jez Moxey has made it crystal clear that he's looking for a quick appointment. The Wolves Chief Executive has pointed to the need of a manager who can make a side "over achieve" and it's reported that Steve Cotterill is one of the men who fits the Moxey criteria.

The paper reports that sources close to the 41 year old Burnely boss - who signed a new contract until the summer of 2010 last season - claim Cotterill would relish a move to the Black Country and wouldn't hesitate at taking the job should it be offered.

Paul Ince is still the bookies favourite, with Mick McCarthy, Stuart Gray and Tottenham Assistant Chris Hughton also in the running.
