Surfacing Rumours Suggest McCarthy

RUMOURS amongst Football Forums tonight appears to suggest that former Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy could be the next Wolves Manager.

Rumours surrounding the new Wolves manager have been rife since the departure of Glenn Hoddle over two weeks ago, however rumours tonight - which surfaced on internet message boards - appear to suggest that McCarthy could be the new Wolves boss.

Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey earlier this week said it was a "possibility" that a new boss could be appointed this week and the news tonight appears an appointment before the weekend could be on the cards.

Mick McCarthy has previously been in charge of Millwall, the Republic Of Ireland and most recently, Sunderland.

He won promotion from the Championship the year before last with Sunderland on a shoe-string budget but was sacked after failing to keep the Northern side in the Premiership.
