Murray - Only had routine saves to deal with and dealt with them well. No chance with goal and kicking has improved.

Edwards - Got forward really well and looks pretty reliable at right back.

Breen - Pretty solid at the back again and looks much more comfortable along side his pal Craddock.

Craddock - Spectacular goal which he may never re-create. Pretty solid at the back.

Clapham- Looked tired and didn't use the ball as well as he could. Played left wing towards the end.

Gobern- McCarthy asked him to re-create his influence on the game from the start and that's exactly what he did. Great performance from the youngster and set up the opener.

Olofinjana - Collected his fifth booking of the season. Not as dominant in midfield as he has been.

Henry - Still a real bargain. Wins the ball and plays it simple, however will never be a creative midfield man.

Ricketts- Needs to improve his left foot but his tricky skills were a threat to Southend. Earned an assist for the third.

Clarke - Another two goals from Leon. The first was a great finish and slotted the ball past the goal line defenders and his second was a powerful header.

Cort- Much better from Cort but still not fully fit. Won plenty of flick ons.

SUBS:

Bothroyd  - Didn't look too interested when he came on and made little impact.

Little  - Put on by McCarthy to add some pace at the back and did exactly that. He's a right back playing at left back but did a good job.

Potter - Given the last five minutes and did well. Nearly scored with a 20 yarder.
