Murray OUT Of Play-Off Derby

WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the most eagerly awaited Black Country Derby ever.

 

 

 After a night of rumours it was this morning confirmed that giant goalkeeper Matt Murray will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a broken shoulder in a freak training ground incident, reports the News Of The World

It is believed the Wolves player of the year fell awkwardly leaving the path for Wayne Hennessy to  make his league debut.

Hennessy is yet to feature in a Wolves shirt but recently returned from a highly successful loan spell at Stockport County where he became the first player to keep 10 consecutive clean sheets. The Welsh keeper - who also won his first call up to the Welsh senior squad last week - was also names Championship League 2 player of the month during his stay in Stockport.

The news will come as a huge blow to staff and fans alike. Murray has been inspirational this season collecting the fans PFA Championship player of the year, Wolves player of the year, Wolves fans player of the year, selection in the PFA team of the year and most recently, the Puma gold glove award.
