Here we stand on the cusp, ladies and gents. And it'll be the beautiful view from the top that inspires us to hold on to the moment. Is all this inescapably Unnerving? Perhaps. Thought provoking? Perchance. Overrated? Perhaps you need to start thinking.
You can play it down all you want, you can tell your mates you were expecting 6th place, a couple of pie and pints on the house come the early bird and another season much like it's predecessor. But you can't fool me, nor yourself. We're on the verge here, and whilst we've taken this road before, it's never been as simple a journey as this, in spite of the 2 month winter spent in the hard lane.
I genuinely do believe it's destiny this time. At first I was going to list all our previous failures and mistakes and show how much better things were now. Then I thought "shit I'm hungry". On the way back from the drive-through it hit me why this was a stupid idea- none of the past is relevant. That may seem a rather obvious thing to say but really think about it and you'll come to realize how great an opportunity we have, and how special the club currently is.Quite simply, our mentality has shifted from negativity and pessimism, to sorely missed feelings of optimism and belief
We are no longer the club that lives in its own shadow. We no longer call for success because it's an entitlement, but do so because... it's what our players are actually capable of. It's been 6 long years since the unmentionable, for 5 we constantly re-opened our wounds, living in anticipation and just waiting for history to repeat itself. No more, we are the club that casually throws it's cap on the rack, summons the missus and says "it's time to earn those 3 points". If you understand, of course.Who's the championship daddy? We are, get used to it. For 2 months.
I'm sure readers will be yelling at their screen "we haven't done anything yet!" and they are very wrong because I'm always right. "What is this article about anyway?!" you may justifiably ask. I don't know, I guess it's just a jumble of words I wrote it to inspire you and maybe even myself.Why? Because I love Wolves like the rest of you, and we all feel this unconditional attachment. Molineux is a cruel mistress, she's brought us misery and broken every solemn promise she's ever made, but change is coming her way, and with it will come the best years this football club has ever seen. It may seem far fetched to even the most discerning,but I genuinely believe it, and while we'll talk about the economics, there's something each and every one of us can put in the lads and Mick that costs nothing, whatever happens this year and in the Premiership- our belief, and the relentless spirit inevitably borne from years of disappointment.
Whether you're going to cheer the lads on in Nottingham and St Andrews, or it's a two week wait til Southampton, let that feeling of pride overwhelm you as it's justfied, the only thing left is to push the lads over the finish line.

I ain't gonna count the chickens until they're hatched - nothing to do with past experiences, it's just the way I am but I'm having difficulty stopping my mind from wandering outside of the Championship.
Another terrific 3 points against Forest - it makes the international break that much more bearable.
Oh, and what would I have given for Andy Keoghs 40yd attempt to have gone in - AAW and Salty would have found me unbearable
Two LIVE TV games will settle the issue for me IF? we win both games,
Blues are struggling form wise, Reading must rue the return of Little and Kitson who have had a reverse impact on there recent results,
Sheff Utd could sneak ahead of them both, the bluenoses think they have a given right to return to the prmiership bu there fan base is far to fickle to be rewarded in my opinion, Reading Vs Blues , Crystal Place Vs Sheff Utd last games of the season, I predict a draw at Reading and WARNOCK will throw in the Towel down at Selhurst.
We have had our dip in form during the season but grinding out results show the commitment of the players and staff, forget your issues with team selection? get behind the players, show commitment and passion and we will head for the promised land.

the fact that i don't rate him doesn't mean i dont support him when on the field.
wise word about the chickens too.i've seen some ridiculous threads about who to buy from relegated prem club etc.
when the maths say we're promoted is the time to talk about the prem,not now.the job isn't done yet.
One thing for sure, if we cock this up..shead will and should roll.
We are in the best position we've ever been in and shouldn't make a hash of it. BUT as Wolves fans we never say never....

I was thinking the same thing old wulf ....there wouldnt have been anything to change my signature to had that gone in,but it didnt
