Off Topic: England on the Internet?

I only have a short amount of time available to update the main page today (sorry) but here goes.
I was wondering what everyones thoughts are on the fact that the England vs. Ukraine game is being shown only on the internet?
My opinion on it is that ALL senior National games should be shown on basic TV, so either BBC, ITV or Channel 5 get rights to show every England game on TV. Why deprive people who cannot afford Sky Sports to either listen to it on the radio or miss out on the game all together? Back to the fact that the game is only online, I guess it wouldn't be so bad if people didn't have to pay for it. Yes £5 isn't much, but think if you are already paying a TV license, and perhaps for Sky TV or Virgin Media, you then have to pay to watch a game you can usually watch on tv, it's not really on is it? Though on the other hand I guess if you haven't got Sky or Virgin Media, then £5 isn't really alot. Hmmm, I guess there are sides to both arguments.........
Anyway, what are you thoughts? Feel free to shoot me down if you think I am totally wrong, and again, sorry I have not got time for a proper update.

I think its a bloody disgrace that this match is not available on tv its bad enough when you have to pay sky to watch some England matches now,dont get me wrong i know that we have already qualified which is great and there is probably less intrest but im sure that if you asked the majority of England football fans they would still like to see this match for free,anyway thats my rant over i feel better now

Why are paying are TV license, sky and ESPN if non of them are prepared to show the national team. Its a disgrace that non of them have picked up the game, i bet if we had'nt qualified there would a bloody stampied for the rights to show it, i would go as far as saying that the BBC and goverment should be doing something about it! They can all shove there so called loyalty up there ar$3!

Thing is lads in the current economic climate anything can happen and it did to Setanta and no one wants to pay for it.Its on at the Odeon in Brum but I have paid and I also have a lead to put it on my main telly.

If you've got a bet 365 account there showing it for free. If not just register and have a £5 bet on game as it would cost you that to watch anyway so free bet really

Quite simple really - this internet only policy is a total joke ..... but not many except the recipients of the PPV fee is laughing.
I can see in the future that things may well go this way but our country currently does not have the necessary infrastructure to enable enthusiastic and loyal England fans whether aged 6 or 96 to follow this match.
Very, very poor decision.

I dont really mind it being on a network such as Sky or ESPN. How many people actually want to watch the match staring at a computer screen? Its not the same atmosphere or quality as watching it on TV either at home or in the pub.
It's virtually a friendly from England's viewpoint anyway so the solution is for as few people as possible to actually pay for it. I'm hoping it will bring in as little as possible and then flops big time then it probably will not be tried again in future.
If say 100000 or less people subscribe at five quid apiece that brings in 500K. But the promoters probably had to pay more than that to the Ukraine FA for the rights so they hopefully will lose money. Greedy national FA's will always sell to the highest bidder so the key thing is that it needs to be proven that it is more valuable to broadcast on a TV network than via an internet broadcaster. Internet streaming is widely ripped off anyway so I think the promoters will lose a fortune.
