Survival In Our Hands
Inspirational?

What a cracking 10 days it has been. Three tough away games against three teams in Claret and Blue and three positive results. Who’d have thought our season could have turned around so much?
Whilst it’s still too early to say we’re safe, the seven points gleaned from the past three games has certainly helped and put a big seven point safety net between Wolves and the bottom three.
Last night’s game was very satisfying and arguably our best game of the season. Each to a man, the team performed with an air of confidence with some outstanding personal displays. Kevin Doyle doing what he’s been doing since we changed to 4-5-1 topped off with a cool finish after a defensive error from Tomkins. David Jones pulling the strings in midfield with his array of forward passes contributing two assists for Zubar and Jarvis. Matty Jarvis also must get a mention for his overall performance. I really can’t describe how i feel this morning but i’m certainly in a good mood.
Personally i now think another five or six points and we’re certain of another year in the big league. Seven games left of the season and some games where we’re more than capable of getting that target, starting off with Everton on Saturday.
Strangely, i’m not too confident of Saturday’s game. Everton are pushing for Europe and we seem to be a mixed bag at home compared to on our travels. Maybe because the onus is on us to attack at home where away we can counter with pace which has benefitted us in gaining 16 points away.
But still, here’s to a cracking atmosphere this Saturday and another confident display by the lads.
C’mon me babbies!!
