Welcome Cheshire Wolf
Cheshire Wolf....
By The Molineux Way
January 24 2013
As you all know, a week or so ago we asked for volunteers to become a moderator on the Molineux Way.
There was one volunteer who stood out - Cheshire Wolf.
Now, Cheshire has only been a member of the site for four years, so is a relative newbie compared to some (I'm looking at you Barmy Army Wolf), but over the time has proven to be a well respected, level headed poster.
We are hoping that he'll be able to spend a bit more time on the site than the previous mods, and so be able to head off any potential problems before they go nuclear (this goes on the front page, so please don't start another discussion about the rights and the wrongs of the situation - there are more than enough threads on here to do that on. In fact, one of Cheshire's first jobs might be deleting any such posts from this thread - don't say you weren't warned...)
Anyway, I'm sure you'll join me in congratulating Cheshire, and I'm sure he'll do an excellent job.

(in reality, it was the most, erm, interesting picture I found when searching for 'Cheshire' in the SportNetwork picture archive)

Can I just confirm, are you (Toomb) and Wolf continuing as well? From all the recent goings on I thought you were but might have got the wrong idea when you describe yourselves as 'previous' mods?
Anyway, All the best to Cheshire!

A very worthy new mod, thanks for stepping up cheshire.

I am pleased to be able to take on the role of Moderator for the benefit of the board, and thought it might be useful to give a bit of an outline of my attitude towards it.
I have been a fan of The Wolves since approximately 1961, when my older brother and I were living on an RAF station in Norfolk - supporting the obligatory Man United - and we were introduced to them by friends. We have both stuck with them through thick and thin ever since. I have never lived anywhere near Wolverhampton, but like to get down to matches from my Cheshire home whenever I can, usually with my brother.
I retired from the NHS last May, having trained and worked as a Registered Mental Nurse for 40 years. I managed a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit for 13 years and when I retired I was responsible for a busy 22 bedded admission ward.
In my time as a nurse I have witnessed sadness, tragedy, humour, excitement and huge psychological reward. As you might also imagine I have been subjected to pretty intense personal abuse and the threat of violence from patients, relatives, members of the public and doctors!! So I have had to adopt a means of dealing with this, and I am therefore generally pretty relaxed.
My attitude to my new role is one of moderation. I admire the banter and serious discussion which weave in and out of the variety of threads, as well as the general mutual respect which exists between the members, and I recognise the work that the moderators have done up to this point to sustain this as far as possible, and it is my intention to assist to this end as much as I can.
My only issue is my dislike of the mis-spelling of words or use of asterisks in order to use particularly offensive language on here, and this is something I have complained of to the mods in the past. I am by no means a prude, and enjoy a laugh as much as the next person, but I have always been conscious that the board is used by a variety of men, women and youngsters, and should be not become an unpleasant experience for any, through the use of exceptional language or threatening behaviour, and I see it as my role as a moderator to address this if necessary. Otherwise I have no intention of interfering with the smooth running of what has been an enjoyable and extremely regular part of my routine for the past four years
Cheshire! A psychiatric nurse is probably exactly what we need on here! Seriously, thank you for taking on the job - hope we don't give you too much grief!

I feel like Morgan and Moxey must have done after appointing Solbakken...
but, hopefully, the end result will be better.
Now can you do something about the football?

Congartalshions Czseshire, I hope it works out f"@#ing marvalus for you.

As you know, there are a few posters that need keeping an eye on. None moreso than Halesowen Wolf who, having turned 40, is more bitter than usual
.
On another note I also want to acknowledge Tom (Toomb) who has done a tremendous job pretty much on his own to this point.
I still remain willing to be a part of this community and hope that work commitments ease allowing me more time to contribute to this fantastic forum which is only so because of the loyal members we have and new that come aboard.
Lets hope some of this rubs off on our club because hell knows thy aren't doing enough at the moment.
The only way is up says the optimist. The only way is down say us wolves fans (tongue in cheek)
