Sounds like we've had a good start, commentators described it as "frenetic".

RVLP fouled, free kick to Wolves.

Poor delivery straight into arms of Cardiff keeper Marshall.

Corner to Wolves after good build up play and cross from RVLP.

Seems nearly a direct goal from the corner.

Confident opening 15 minutes for Wolves, by no means do we sound out of our depth.

RVLP shot deflected for a corner.

Le Fondre gets through on goal, nutmegging Golbourne, breaks into penalty area but puts his effort wide.

RVLP brought down and wins a free kick in a pod position.

Free kick taken but hits wall, Golbourne back into area, Evans gets shot away but puts it wide.

Mistake by Cardiff in dangerous territory, Wolves attempt to take advantage but Hudson clears up and puts out for corner. Corner cleared.

Sako with run past Fabio, shot deflected for corner.

Danny Batth header from corner easily saved by Marshall. Cardiff with another defensive mistake but get away with it again. Might only be a matter of time before they make one that will really hurt them.

Golbourne ball in, RVLP gets better of Fabio but misses target with header.

Yeah I agree Andy, Cardiff sound shaky at the back, especially Fabio who can't handle Sako or RVLP. Shot from RVLP saved comfortably by Marshall.

Cardiff starting to get back into it slightly, but making mistakes both going forward and defensively. Good signs but need to make these chances count. Doherty goes past Fabio and his shot hits side netting.

Fabio really can't handle any of our wing play, Doherty, RVLP and Sako all having great success. Stearman with brilliant work, stealing ball from Maynard.

Re: Match Thread: Wolves V Cardiff City

RVLP having a good game, showing his strength by holding onto the ball in the face of Cardiff physicality. Dicko tripped in box, no penalty and no appeal.

HT Wolves 0-0 Cardiff. Good first half from Wolves, getting a lot of success in the final third on the wings but again we're having trouble putting our chances away (something discussed at length on this forum). Hopefully we can carry this into the second half and nick a goal, else we could be in for Rotherham déjà vu.

Afternoon Steway.
I'm currently sat in the car park at Calis waiting for 5pm ferry, so I can tell you you're doing a fine job at keeping us all up to speed thanks. Sounds to me like we're doing much better against Carsiff than I expected especially on the wings - which is what KJ has set up for this season. Talksport day Cardiff nearly scored through Le Frondre against the run of play.

You're half way through , son. Keep it together. By the sound of it, playing the way we are, I'm starting to get more twitchy the longer it goes without a goal. Hope this doesn't provide further proof that we need to strengthen attack.

Cheers Cheshire, are you on your way back now mate? We're definitely doing better, either our wing play has stepped up a gear or Cardiff are having a mate at full back. I would suggest its a bit of both. If we can keep creating chances I don't see why we can't get a goal early in the second half. Yeah, Le Fondre should have scored according to commentators. They should have scored from the corner too, but seems they panicked when presented with a rare good opportunity.

That's exactly my concern angry. They're good enough going forward to really punish us too. Half time substitution, Maynard off for Cardiff, Kenwyne Jones on. Real danger man, could be our undoing.

Marshall claims ball in from corner, goes down holding left ankle and has a go at assistant referee. Think we're getting to them. RVLP through to Golbourne, who plays it to RVLP who takes an airshot and the chance has gone.

RVLP having an absolute field day Cheshire, shame we can't take advantage (need a target man to take advantage of Sako and RVLP. McDonald shot from distance but over the bar.

Commentators discussing "deliberate handball" after Cardiff claims against Stearman. Unfortunately, like most pundits and commentators, interpret the laws completely wrongly. I wish they had to take a referees course before commenting on refereeing decisions. Don Goodman's the worst.

If Morgan would just back him with enough money to build a great squad as well as a couple of additions to the eleven, we could possibly get into the play offs. Unfortunately I can't see it happening and could lose more in Sako going for free at the end of this season.

It's amazing how many games have been 1-0, even in pre-season. We're like WB* circa 2001/02. Need to pay some money for a top striker, Dicko not proving anything, would be good as an impact sub in this league with his pace.

Evening all. Just back from a day at the coast. Appreciate the frustration about goals, but let's also consider that we've played and beaten the 3 EPL sides, whilst we should have been out of sight by HT had Nouha had his finishing boots on against Rotherham.

Impressive thing for me is the goals against column. 3 clean sheets against the 3 EPL relegation sides.

It's a solid start. Wonder how long before Clarke gets a chance?

It's a shame Ikeme couldn't stay fit early in his career as he's head and shoulders above Hennessey in every department. He's just another reason why getting promotion this season is a must as if he has another good season I could see half a dozen Premier League teams coming in for him and at that time he'd be 29 so won't hang around here forever. Also there's no reason why he can't get in the England squad, I know he hasn't played at the top level but he's easily a better all round keeper than Foster or Ruddy so if they can get England caps there's no reason why Ikeme can't.
