Pre Season Friendly - FC Chambly V Wolves Match Thread.

Well Wolves played their first Pre-Season friendly erlier today. As I was in bed due to working nights I could not do this during the game so thought I would run it through now. Big game for Chambly. They've called it the most prestigious in their history. They only formed in 1989 so are younger than most people here Wolves team: Flatt; Iorfa, Ebanks-Landell, Stearman, Golbourne; Van la Parra, McDonald, Coady, Jacobs; Dicko, Afobe. Subs | Burgoyne, Deslandes, Ronan, Weeks, Wilson, Hayden.

FIRST HALF

2 - an early tester for Jon Flatt who pushes a 20-yarder past the post.

8 - First sniff of goal as Dicko takes McDonald's pass and cuts inside, but his shot is blocked.

11 - Coady loses possession and the Chambly 11 races into the box, Looks like Stearman fouls him but the referee gives a corner.

14 - Another good save from Jon Flatt, this time from a free kick tight on the left. Chambly having the better of the opening stages.

16 - off the post! Afobe turns, feeds Dicko whose rasping shot hits the inside of the right post and bounces agonisingly across the line.

18 - Jacobs gets back well to make an important interception in the Wolves box. Him and Van La Parra working hard.

20 - For a pre-season friendly there are a few tough challenges flying in. This is a good early test for Jackett's team.

21 - GOAL - FC CHAMBLY 1 WOLVES 0

Hesitant defending and a left-footed shot a squeezes past Flatt. He got a hand to it and tried to retrieve it but the ball rolled over.

24 - Van La Parra whistles one wide from 25 yards as Wolves look to respond to falling behind. Wolves aren't quite up to speed yet. Movement not the best and their passing has been slack at times. Such early days though.

26 - Stearman whacks the ball miles out of play, it lands almost on the next training pitch. Some local youngsters look on, befuddled.

31 - GOAL - FC CHAMBLY 1 WOLVES 1

Much better from Wolves. A long passing move ends in Coady crossing for MICHAEL JACOBS who sends a diving header into the corner.

33 - Corner for Chambly on the right. Wolves leave a man unmarked but he loops a header over the bar.

34 - Afobe runs from deep and takes a man on before scuffing wide from 20 yards.

36 - Conor Coady has been in the thick of things for Wolves. He stops a counter-attack with a late challenge. Talking-to from the ref.

37 - 'Too many header here' shouts Jackett before another Chambly corner. Ebanks-Landell listens and clears.

41 - Van La Parra wins a free kick on the right of the area but it's wasted by Golbourne whose low ball finds a Chambly player.

43 - Ebanks-Landell earns the game's first booking for deliberately handling to stop a Chambly attack. Indignation from the French fans.

46 - GOAL - FC CHAMBLY 1 WOLVES 2

A poacher's finish from BENIK AFOBE who stabs home from close range

HALF TIME - FC CHAMBLY 1 WOLVES 2

A competitive game. Wolves took a while to warm up and their best move ended in the equaliser and then Afobe put them in front.

Here's the second half XI for Wolves: Flatt; Doherty, Hayden, Hause, Deslandes; Henry, Edwards (c), Weeks, Rowe; Ronan, Enobakhare.

SECOND HALF

51 - A quiet start to the second half with Chambly enjoying most of the possession.

52 - A Bright counter from Wolves in more ways than one. Ronan races down the right and feeds Enobakhere, who's fouled near the box.

54 - Should be 3-1 Wolves. Hause meets Rowe's inswinging free kick but heads into the ground from a few yards and it bounces over.

60 - Danger for Wolves from a right-wing free kick, but after the Chambly player can't quite control the ball Flatt claims. Cue applause.

67 - Harry Burgoyne replaces Jon Flatt in goal for Wolves.

67 - And Donovan Wilson is also on for Wolves. The 18-year-old striker replaces Declan Weeks. 4-4-2 for Wolves.

69 - Not much to this second half I'm afraid. Few chances and the bite has been taken out of the game too. Edwards marshaling things well.

73 - Henry tries to stretch the play down the right but his cross is claimed by the Chambly goalkeeper.

75 - Precious little goalmouth action in this half. But a good run-out for a few youngsters here. Aaron Hayden impressing in defence.

77 - GOAL - CHAMBLY 2 WOLVES 2

An equaliser for the French side as their number eight gets ahead of Hayden to nod past a helpless Burgoyne from a left-wing cross.

80 - Wilson, who joined from Bristol Rovers earlier this year, looking sharp. The keeper races out to smother the ball at his feet.

81 - Again Wilson involved as he hares around the back of the Chambly defence from the right. But again the keeper smothers.

83 - And Wilson nearly puts Wolves back in front. He fires Doherty's low cross at goal but it seems to hit Ekobakhare. Good chance.

85 - Five minutes to go for Wolves to find a winner. Kenny Jackett will be pleased with what has been a good run-out for his squad.

87 - Another Wolves chance. Enobakhare dances into the box and the ball eventually breaks to Ronan whose curled shot is comfortably saved.

89 - GOAL - CHAMBLY 2 WOLVES 3

Surely a late winner for Wolves as Enobakhare keeps his cool to finish past the Chambly keeper from close range.

90 - A fantastic sliding block from Doherty denies Chambly a dramatic equaliser.
