Well another chance for us to progress in this competition. I read Dave Edwards, Kortney Hause, Emi Martinez and Scott Golbourne are all out through injury so the selection will again be of interest. I just hope Kenny asks the players to go for it.

We're up against it however as Boro will be going for their 6th straight win. Compare that to our illustrious current run! And to all those who don't believe in bogey sides, well whatever the probability of a win, lose or draw in an individual match, we ay beat them at their place since the 50s.

In summary, they are one of our big bogey sides - a bit like Brighton but I didn't realise that until I read Badges stats at the weekend.

Up the Wolves! Let's hope for a miracle.

April 11 1951 was the last win at Boro. It ended 2-1 Since then we have met and failed to win in 23 (14 lost 9 Drawn).

Brighton , Bolton , Middlesbrough .. who isn't a bogey team ? Maybe Huddersfield coming up soon but they hammered us last season as well didn't they.

Our record is tight against Huddersfield. We lost at home last season but beat them at their place which was a first win in 12 i think.

Did any of you lot out there go to the last match of the season in 1992? Boro needed a win to be promoted and we were well off the pace in mid table (still some very good players in that side).

What I remember most, other than losing, was the bomb scare before the match and after my usual journey up from Devon worrying frantically whether the match would go ahead. Apparently there were loads of shot gun capsules / bullets dug into the ground (or the like). I was in the upper Steve Bull that day.

Anyway we lost - but here are some highlights which shows Molineux in transition and getting close to the final hurrah for the South Bank. If you look at the pitch there are plenty of patches which I am sure are due to the 'terrorist' activity. Can you imagine this match being played today?

17' Van La Parra breaks clear of the Boro back line, he cuts back onto his right and looks to pull across the box but it's cut out.

18' Another Albert Adomah cross from the right wing is headed back to Ikeme by Doherty at the back post. Assured defending.

20' Follow-up corner looks for Saville at the near post but again the home side clear behind for a corner.

Ian everyone appreciates what you do on the match thread. Badge often goes to the home games, so please continue to do what you can.

Looking at comments so far it seems to have been pretty close in the first half considering nine changes to our team. This really is a chance for some of our players to stake a claim for a regular place, including MacDonald!!

Well that's the end of our 'cup run'. 2-0 and according to the commentary it was 'just to easy'. Tempo is low, hesitation on the ball, lack of tackles, poor team play.

ALF and Afobe now on for Bright and VPL
