Preston North End V Wolves Match Thread

1965 Match Programme
By Badge32
September 26 2015

Wolves head off to Deepdale looking to keep a third clean sheet in a row against the home side for the first time. Wolves form has been poor of late and need a good result to try and kick start their season.

I will be online for today's game praying for a good match and result.

Sock, horror, I'm not hopeful about today regardles of team selection. I can see us getting a dour draw at best.

Hopefully my negativity will be rewadrded with a performance which proves me wrong. It's happened before. Just not this season.

TEAM | Martinez; Iorfa, Batth (c), Hause, Golbourne; McDonald, Price, van La Parra, Wallace, Henry; Afobe.

SUBS | Ikeme, Ebanks-Landell, Doherty, Saville, Ojo, Byrne, Le Fondre.

PNE starting Xl: Pickford, Woods, Wright, Clarke, Cunningham, Reach, Welsh, Browne, Johnson, Keane and Garner.

Batth straight back in. Got to be good, as better to see Price and Kmac in midfield. A real chance for Wallace too. Don't understand the fascination with VPL

Agree with you re: vLP Ivy. I would like to see Oko given a start, rather than 15 minutes at the end of each match

We currently sit 19th. A point and we're up to 17th.

Great save from a Batth effort. It's all Wolves. Preston producing heroic defending. Trouble is Thommo )co-commentator) says we haven't looked by scoring.

Check.

A STUNNING goal from Kmac

The PReston fns are furious. Sound like we have been very poor today in front of goal.

Out of jail today?

One point against nine men is poor. Should have beat these with 11 on the field yet we get lucky to get a point.

Out-of-jail with a 92nd minute goal against 9 men. Playoffs, you're having a laugh.

Honestly I am more interested in hearing about fans slagging Morgan pre-match. Need the f%%ker gone from our club and perhaps this is the start.

I am really impressed with Thommo as a co-commentator. He is 100% biased but tells it like it is. Today he was pretty scathing about our front line, creativity and finishing. He was generally critical and stated we never looked like scoring but highlighted Afobe for constantly coming too deep and a no creating player. This has been said so many times on this message board. Kenny needs to tell Afobe what his primary function is!

A draw v 9 men is pretty lamentable

1-1 against a poor Preston side. Most of the time against 10 men and then 15 minutes against 9 men. Not great is it? More likely relegation again rather than the play offs.

He has also said the players are gving 100% but are lacking quality especially in the final 3rd. No quality from wide today either

we all know that morgan is the main problem that goes without saying his lack of investment in the team this season proves that, but if anybody wanted further proof that jacket is not up to the wolves job they got it today. we played one of the worst teams in the championship and one of the favorites to get relegated who have lost their last five games first with ten men then with nine and we only scraped a draw in the dying seconds. the blokes ta-ticks are absolutely sh#te he's got no idea whatsoever that's why he goes along with anything that morgan say's. i would want him out weather morgan goes or not

You may get your wish Pete if results continue.. Morgan will see potential gates dropping and revenue he accrues from the club so the good news for many is Jackett is likely to be sacked. The bad news is John barnes / Ian Rush / a poor mans Dean Saunders is waiting to take over with news of a 3-5 year building plan requiring patience in the deal. thumbs down

God knows what sort of Manager would replace KJ, only a Manager who is frantic for a job would be remotely interested.
Expect CVS from Big Ron, Sven Goran Eriksson and Glenn Hoddle.

Morgan will sacrifice KJ soon IMO but he wont fool the fans this time.

that's why we have to get that pr#t out first, he always said if he's not wanted he will leave. like i said on the other thread, there is ways. but its goner take more than one person emailing the e&s to do it. ive been on the site, it dosent say how to get in touch with them. i think he's beginning to feel the pressure himself, how else can you explain the outburst today plus these silly little interviews about how much wolves mean to him

Re: Preston North End V Wolves Match Thread

I agree but what's likely to happen is the sacrificial lamb of Jackett being sacked to appease disgruntled fans in Morgans eyes... there needs to be protests outside the ground every match if necessary. Fck whether it affects the team, they are bargain basement gash anyway primarily consisting of lower league wastrels and foetuses stealing a living while the rest of us actually have to work.
