I am at Work again today so will miss the game. Hope to all enjoy the match.

Under the cosh early doors. EBL somehow getting in a superbly timed touch on the ball when a penalty seemed nailed on.

BHA have been on a bad run of late, but think their attack will pose our defence many problems today.

Pi55 poor from Wolves. Same lineup so same challenges defending too deep and when they get it, hoofing it up hopefully toward an isolated Afobe.

And of course, Edwards and Henry still contributing SFA.

Priceless, a OG from a Graham cross. First time Wolves showed any attacking intent.

Cynical foul on Graham from Bruno. Might have been a red.

Dire performance so far with a fluke of an own goal.

Nasty challenge. High enough to have warranted a red. Graham frustrating them.

I'm thinking that Bruno won't finish this game.

Hard to believe we're going in ahead - no notable changes from us. Possession 25%. Another Kenny masterclass in hit and hope...

Much like second half versus Reading.

You can see how their set-up to nullify the ball into Zamora but it amazes me how often we're second to the second ball, especially in midfield where we have five players.

Late on KMac was trying to play but the lack of options is obvious.

Need to get the ball to Graham, if for no other reason to invite another foul from Bruno.

Agree with many of the comments, but I have been impressed with Ebanks-Landell in first 45. Think he has dealt with Zamora really well and put in a well-timed tackle to deny Wilson.

Disappointed that Macca isn't able to take a more attacking role.

Let-off for Wolves after three players left wide open. Lucky.

Nice to get it right isn't it TW!! Thought we defended really well in 2nd half against a good team. Ikeme in good form too. Henry had a face like a smacked ar$e when he was taken off, but good to see Siggy get a run out.

9 points from 3 matches over Xmas - who would have predicted that - apart from Angry of course!!

Have to credit KJ for getting the tactics right today. Hard on the eyes but results are critical.

We won at Brighton, once in a lifetime experience. What was the ref playing it with all that time, Kenny looked like he was fuming at final whistle.

Perhaps the ref felt he was being conned by Ikeme? Anyway, hard enough to win there without playing 97 minutes.

Another poor performance, masking over the many inadequacies of this squad and its coach.

Still, 3 wins, 3 clean sheets - just don't expect any excitement from me.

Ikeme was injured, Kenny thought he was going to blow up otherwise the physio would have been back on. Shame he wasn't so strict with Bruno.

I have to laugh at the " jackett got the tactics right comments". We were second best all game and won via an own goal coupled with a couple of fine saves / good defensive challenges. Had the own goal not gone in and Ikeme not made the late wonder save people would be screaming for jacketts head again so lets have a bit of consistency. On paper an excellent result but this Brighton team were nearly relegated last season so as we have said before... football with its fine lines strike again resulting in people swinging like a pendulum from one absurd extreme to another .

We look what we are and what most have said from the outset , a mid table club devoid of real talent winning and losing games on the flip of a coin.

I agree fully angry, i thought it was another poor performance coupled with luck.

Also, Ikeme was faking injury IMO. At one time he was down with an ankle injury but when the ref had a word he got up and kicked the ball 60 yards.

I watched both games today on Sky and it was 3 hours of my life wasted, mind you, it was pizzing rain in Galway all day so not much else to do.

We have pulled away from the relegation zone , thank heavens, but let nobody try tell me we are promotion material!

By the way, Brighton are in free fall.

I see your man Jimmy Floyd is still without a win after 6 games, they were 5 points ahead of us when he took over, they are now 4 behind, despite having a far superior squad. Probably just shows that most of these managers doing well in League 1 just aren't up to the Championship and judging by QPR today he also serves up poor football. I'm yet to see a better alternative to Jackett within our price range who'd be willing to join a club that could be sold at any time.

I really don't see a problem with the added time, in my opinion it was more than justified. The referee either signals or tells the 4th official via their intercom how long is left, this would have been done before the Ikeme went down. Even if he wasn't feigning injury the physio still came on for the first of the incidents and he did also delay the taking of a Brighton corner after that in a second incident. Then there was the Afobe/Le Fondre substitution which was clearly a ploy to waste time.

Fair call AT - stats would also show that he's only lost 2 in 6... Amazing what stats can show though...

Long-term, I'd still prefer JFH in charge of our squad as it stands. Notable that QPR didn't come knocking for KJ, despite several links. Maybe they didn't want to pay his sizeable compensation, or just possibly, they also see JFH as a better longer term option to get them back on an even keel, and then shape them into a team capable of challenging for EPL status?

Who knows eh, only time will tell!

Jimmy Floyd has no experience at this level though, so in the long term nobody knows whether he'll be a better manager in the Championship than Jackett. He was a big name at a very small club in Burton, plenty of other big names have done well in the bottom two divisions but failed when they've made the step up. Some of these managers can motivate players just by their name, a lot of players are probably in awe. Totally different though in the Championship where players are earning good money and have already had a big name as their manager. I bet most the QPR players couldn't careless who is, whereas the Burton players would run through brick walls for him desperate to impress him. Di Canio was the same, excellent record at that level, couldn't do it higher, Paul Ince another when he first started out.

Jacketts only on a one year rolling contract so doubt it would cost much compensation. The reality is none of us know how good a manager Jackett is as he hasn't been given the tools to seriously compete for promotion. It's highly likely if he went we'd be heading towards the relegation trapdoor so this is as good as it gets... dull but reality.

A certain Dean Saunders come to mind also AT!! It also has to be borne in mind that many of today's Championship players have also played in the PL, probably under bigger and better managers than they currently have, so may well feign 'respect' for them. KJ has a wealth of experience in this league compared to the likes of JFH, only as Angry says he has never been given to tools to actually make a name for himself other than getting Millwall to the FA Cup semi-final.

Sorry Angry, I was being a tad facetious in my remark on KJ's compo- what I meant was, if they really wanted him, they'd have paid up for him.

AT, if truth be told, KJ's experience is very little different, ie he hadn't "managed" much beyond L1 / Championship, so not much ofa comparison either!

Comes back to the original "out" thread - he was never a serious long term option to take us into the EPL and establish us there. Sadly that debate is now irrelevant, as we have no interest from the owner...
