Welcome to part four of the Wolves seasons. This season saw Sunderland replace Stoke City who failed re-election and for the second season in a row Wolves finished in fourth spot, This time just three points behind Champions Everton. After beating Bolton 1-0 on the 8th November, Wolves went top and stayed there until losing 1-0 to Everton three games later. Wolves still had hopes of winning the title after thumping arch rivals WBA 4-0. However their final two games ended in crushing away defeats to Derby 9-0 and Villa 6-2. Also for the second season in a row, Wolves lost to Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.
