Statement regarding the Wolves board - Revenue

We are looking for a little help guys and no this is not a case of us looking for you to dip in to your pockets!!

One of the benefits of this site being run through the Sportsnetwork is that it generates revenue from sponsors. We receive a share of the advertising revenue generated by our site in two parts – hits on our story pages and hits on the message board. We receive five times as much for a story page hit as we do for a message board hit. This is because story pages carry more ads and the advertising industry much prefers that content to message board hits.

We recently found out that all proceeds generated by our board have been going to an ex-user who started this board off, and we felt that this should be reviewed. We have contacted Dave at Sportsnetwork and he told us he can change it so that we can get it.

Having discussed this between the Moderators we agree that it should be changed.

It has been agreed that Badge should be the nominated representative of the board to deal with this issue and with the funds - which won't amount to a great deal, however we have agreed it should be used to obtain a prize for one of the Prediction Leagues (Not this season as they have started) which we run. You lot help generate it and so it should be you lot who gain from it.

Now, at one time this site used to generate between four to seven pound a month back when it was busy. Now though we generate less than a pound a month with January topping this year with 83p. A payment was sent out in May so our current balance now stands at £1.76. As already stated we wont get much, however with your help we can improve it.

Once the copyright problems are resolved Badge will start doing more stories which will boost income.

AT has stated he will email us a piece every now and again to use as a story and we now put the match thread through front page news in order to try and help things along. If anyone else would like a piece putting on the story page (you will be credited) then please pm one of us and we will pass on an email address so you can send it to one of us.

We hope you will see this as an effort to further develop the board, and you will all try to help out.
