Well I have at last got round to doing part six which takes us to the 1892/93 season. The league had been extended to 28 clubs and split into two divisions with the top flight having 16 teams involved. Newton Heath, The Wednesday and Nottingham Forest Joined Division One while Darwen dropped into Division Two. Wolves had a mixed season having finished in 11th place while going on to win the F.A.Cup Final for the first time after beating Everton 1-0. They also went on to break the club record of 19 straight games where they scored before crashing 4-0 to Accrington. They also managed to end up with the heaviest defeat losing 10-1 to Newton Heath, who would then go on to finish the season bottom.
