In addition to Patricio, reliable source says Doherty, Jonny, Neves and Moutinho also dropped in favour of Adama, Vinagre, Saiss and MGW respectively.

Will be nice to get one over Warnock but Cardiff will come with a certain intent.

So, Patricio didn't make today's squad. It will make for an interesting game that is for sure

Our referee today is Andre Marriner who also reffed the game at Cardiff in December

MGW lucky not to get an early yellow for a late tackle. Good refereeing. Ruddy mishandles ca corner but manages to pounce on the ball in time

City settling better than us so far

Great kick out by Ruddy to Jota who takes it into their are but no support for him - goal kick!

Traore already looking to make runs whenever he can. I wonder if he will link up with our front two like Doc does.

Superb one-touch play between Raul, MGW & Jota and Jota puts it away. Great goal

Mistake by Bamba punished by Raul who links up with Jota, gets it back & buries it

Vinagre set free & he runs half the length of pitch, centres it, and it just bobbled before reaching MGW otherwise we would have had three

Wolves new line-up is a delight to watch so far. Jota is on fire - he just nutmegged Gunnarsson before taking a shot which unfortunately was blocked. Boly majestic, & MGW doing well so far.

Leander hits the post from a corner, then Etheridge manages to put his shot over the bar.
Bennett fouls Reid and gets an inevitable yellow card & will now be missing at Chelsea & Burnley

Nice round of applause from all fans on 39 minutes for Wolves fan Jamie Brown who died of Leukemia aged 39 on 24th Feb leaving his wife & 4 children

Traore tackles back, then breaks at speed before being brought down by Bamba who gets a yellow card & hurt himself in the process

Unfortunately Bamba has to leave the field on a stretcher and is shown the yellow card on the stretcher!! Replaced by Bruno Manga

No - you're not on your own - though I am watching the European Indoor Championships at the same time!

City get a chance with a header from A free kick, but well collected by Ruddy. Ryan Bennett commits a silly foul and gets his last warning from Andre Marriner

Half time and two excellent team goals from Wolves give them a two goal lead, and it is well deserved as they have managed any threat from Cardiff well and broken well when the opportunity has arisen. A different type of performance to what we normally expect from our team. Traore has flown with the ball at times and has made some good passes, but is totally different from Doc in that position. Vinagre has had some good possession on the left, and MGW. Has linked up well with our front two.
The only blot is Ryan Bennett' yellow card which means he will miss the next two games

Ready to go again. No changes to Wolves side

Diogo Jota replaced by Doc, presumably for fitness reasons. This will probably mean Traore playing further up front

Traore breaks from centre circle at speed but goes for glory and smashes it wide & high. Vinagre was free on the left the whole time!

Another very quick break by Traore but no final result. He doesn't think of passing it to a colleague and shoots well wide - again!!

It's reassuring how well they are managing without our usual midfield stars,. Saiss, Vinagre & Leander are having a good game, MGW is erratic at times and Traore is doing very much as expected.

Good break by Vinagre, one two with Raul, and he is set up for a shot which brings a save from Etherington. Shame - it would have been a great goal. MGW leaves to a huge reception & replaced by Joao who immediately delivers a superb corner kick

Period of pressure from City but pretty toothless

Boly praised as a '£10 million steal'. I have to agree - he is so calm and assured, a real classy defender

Jimenez has a glorious chance to make it three but puts it too close to Etheridge who saves well.
Traore leaves the field to good applause and is replaced by Cavaleiro

Too much passing backwards from Wolves at the moment. Corner to City is well dealt with.into the final ten minutes

Snatch shot by Gunnarsson from 8yd line goes well wide. Wolves off the boil at the moment & having to defend

They need to concentrate - can't afford to switch off - that's why we needed a third goal!

Great ball from Vinagre but Cav had gone just too soon. Another corner to City well taken by Ruddy

That's it - Job Done
We now have our highest ever points level in 7th place after a well deserved victory. We should have scored far more goals and put them to the eword, so the second half was disappointing from the perspective, but overall a very good performance from a 'squad team'. Credit to Nuno and his team for giving a chance to squad members who stepped in and performed very well.
It now gives Nuno a headache as to who will play at Chelsea next Sunday, which I'm sure he will delight in!

Happy days - I wonder what Warnock will moan about in his post match interview!

I wasn't sure when I saw the line-up but Nuno knows what he is doing. Traore was very good playing down the right but not sure how he would get on if more defending was needed and when he moved into the attack he was a little bit wasteful. Overall though, he had a really good game as did Vinagre on the other side.
MGW also played well but was a little in and out, if that makes sense.
Jota and Jiminez look to be forming quite a partnership in attack and the first goal in particular was excellent.
It seems churlish to be picky but I thought we should have had at least one more but it was a comfortable win and very pleased and a great response to Tuesday night's game.

I'm not saying he's the finished article Angry, nor would I disagree about passing back, but I do think he has undoubted talent and can be developed very positively for the future.

The reliable source generally gets these things right more often than not, yesterday being a perfect example!

Very good performance from Wolves yesterday, MOTM for me was Saiss, absolutely bossed Cardiff's midfield and added that much needed steel against a physical Cardiff side. Honourable mentions for Adama, Vinagre and Boly, all of whom had good games too. Vinagre and Adama at WB against lesser teams at home seems the way forward, excellent attacking outlet. On to Chelsea!
