Match Thread: Bournemouth FC vs Wolves

Wolves travel to Bournemouth today to take on the team sitting directly below them in the Premiership separated by only one goal difference, in the knowledge that three points could take them into the top six.
Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping to extend his team's seven match unbeaten run this afternoon at the Vitality Stadium. Last season's game there was spoiled by the refereeing of now retired Roger East, so it will be hoped that new Premier League ref Simon Hooper will do a better job today. Wolves have the bonus that two of Bournemouth's star players Josh King and Ryan Fraser are unfit, whilst Adama Traore is likely to be declared fit after pulling out of the Spanish squad with a hamstring scare after the Aston Villa game.
This board will hopefully carry a commentary on the game whilst board members are encouraged to post their observations for the benefit of others who are unable to follow it.

Ryan Fraser is fit for B'mouth after all. Adama Traore has also been passed fit to start so an unchanged starting line-up for Wolves:

Should be a good game with both teams able and willing to play expressive football. Think that it is going to be a close result , we have, on paper, the better squad but they have the home advantage.
Fingers crossed we can squeeze for three points.

Good play by Adama and ball eventually reaches Joao who takes a shot but wide. 63% possession to Wolves so far. We look sharp and passing is crisp

Ramsdale out quickly to edge of his box to stop Jonny. Then Jota taken out by Francis on the edge of the box - just outside. yellow card for Francis. Joao puts a magical free kick into the top right hand corner!!!

B'mouth attack following a dubious free kick, Wolves defend very well. Then up the other end Raul goes close and the ball is cleared off the line. Another shot goes in from Doc. Francis gets his second yellow card for pulling Jota back and is dismissed so B"mouth down to 10 ,en and two goals down!

Half time whistle goes as Wolves fans are singing "Nuno's the special one"!! Wolves have been superb throughout the team, with Joao scoring a perfect free kick, then taking a quick free kick to Adam who set up Raul for our second. The bad news is Saiss getting his 5th yellow card. Jota, Raul & Adama have been excellent up front. This is an opportunity to extend our goal difference now that B'mouth are down to 10 men having had Francis sent off after VAR showed he had tugged Jota back which warranted a second yellow card.

Lost my stream so having to start rely on commentary. Saiss takes a shot which the keeper does well to stop. 64 minutes played, & B'mouth are revitalised after their goal, playing more directly with Wilson posing more threat. They have a corner from the same side as they scored from, but Traore clears it.

Chance to B'mouth but Danjuma smashes it over. Final whistle goes and Wolves have a well deserved 3 points against ten-man Bournemouth for 8 consecutive PL games without defeat. The three points lift us to 5th place for now!!

Great result, as Bournemouth can be hard to beat at home. But when are we going to tank some of these teams, especially when we are two goals up and they are down to 10 men?

Magic moments. When Boly got injured it was likely going to be a tough time but look what has happened. With Saiss out next time maybe Ryan Bennett can squeeze back in?
