Max Kilman gets his first Premiership start, replacing Saiss.

Dreadful start. Sheffield score within first minute.

We really need to wake up and get to grips with the match. Sheffield bossing it at the moment.

Well are slowly getting into the game but Sheffield are pressing hard and not allowing us to settle.

Starting to get into the opposition penalty area but we really need to score before half time.

Sheffield not afraid to push forward so defenders will need to be awake.

You are not alone, Lupinehowler - just got in. Thought Sheffield might be a handful....

Frustrating so far. United scores before I could even get into the ground!! Wolves playing very deep a lot of the time with a lot of their customary passing back play, so United are packing the midfield. I’d like to see Doc sharpen up a bit and for Jota to do on the left wing what Adama is doing on the right.
Might be better in the 2nd half facing away from the very bright sun

A very pedestrian first half from Wolves who were only getting into the game in the last 15 minutes or so. Traore causing as many problems for us as he is for Sheffield and Jota is not getting much support on the left so maybe introducing Vinagre will add something.
Sheffield are well organised and competitive rushing our players into silly mistakes.
Kilman not outstanding but holding his own at present. Our defence seems a little disorganised and is not being shepherded by Coady as well as usual.
We need to press forward for any sort of result but will need to be careful as Sheffield are able to counter quickly and effectively.
Cmon lads.

Really not getting into the game. Need to be more decisive and have to gain control of the midfield if we are to get anything from this game.

Not our best game but a point is a point.
No standout performances and the work ethic is what got us the equaliser.
Sheffield were very well set up so are good value for their current league position.
I did expect a home victory but we looked off the pace for large parts of the match.
Onwards and upwards.

Well done Lupy, a good effort. I've just got in from the match. Didn't play anything like we have been recently and it was only the last 20 minutes that we started to look decent. Traore was a handful as usual but too many of his crosses we can't do anything with, either too high or over-hit. Doherty has got finding those goal-scoring positions down to a fine art and I would say that Rui was our best player, we could have been buried long before equalizing.
Still only lost two matches though and on to Wednesday.

Enjoyed the match though it never really fully got going. The Blades goal, well , what on earth was happening with the marking ....... I unlike Chesh, had the displeasure of seeing it hitting the back of the net. We didn’t really trouble the keeper much in the first half and all of our good work come through Traore who was a constant menace. Whilst we improved second half, I must admit I was surprised to see us score when we did, I didn’t think we were clicking. Last 10 minutes probably was our best period.
As no mention has yet been made about the ref, I will - generally rubbish in my view. His personal low was failing to issue a second yellow to one of the Blades defenders who had scythed Jota down. Terrible decision made with about 8 minutes to go which would have made the last minutes even more tasty.
Regardless, a draw seemed fair to me. Sheffield United are a good side.
Finally, I sat in the SW corner today. First time for me. Despite being around 3C, it was a lovely day and luckily no biting wind. The view was okay and the atmosphere was decent too. I would rather be elsewhere for sure but wouldn’t be crying too loudly if it was my only opportunity to see us play ..... the way tickets are going, it might be my well be my only opportunity.
Our unbeaten run continues then, UTW!

It's a poor result and as we have said , unbeaten runs don't matter... 1 win and 2 defeats would be viewed as quite poor yet it's the same as an unbeaten run of 3 draws. A point at home to a newly promoted team is very disappointing and if anyone thinks sheff utd will finish anywhere close to where they are now , they're living in cloud cuckoo land. Fortunately this result is on the back of a few wins otherwise it'd be seen as fairly disastrous . I really don't understand main stream medias obsession with unbeaten runs as draws are terrible results for teams looking to finish anywhere in the top half particularly at home. We've lost the same number of games as Leicester yet are 12 points behind them which says all you need to know about the relevance of unbeaten runs- wins are what matter. I seem to recall wolves had the longest unbeaten run in the clubs history under Glenn hoddle around 2006 and we couldn't even make the playoffs in the championship.

Lost out in central midfield where their 3 overran our 2. If we're playing 343 then Jota, who had a poor game, again, needs to press, close and be able to hold the ball, instead of giving the ball away as often as he does. It exposes Neves and Moutinho with the former sitting deeper than he should and so the opposition spend the afternoon running at our back 3 at will .

Sheffield should have won comfortable by 3 or even 4 goals.

It isn't just Jota, but he is not doing his job in the front 3. Jimenez, Traore and Doherty worked themselves into the ground to keep us in the game. Doherty made a defensive slip but apart from those 3 and Jonny's consistency the only other positive was Kilman making a strong debut and I can see why Nuno thinks highly of him.

We seem to be coping without Boly, and if Kilman can emerge as a reasonable option that will be a big plus. But if we lose Jimenez as well then we could be in trouble.

Let's see what the Jan window holds in store. I think we should look at a forward on loan to boost the front 3. Trying to find a marquee 10 and another centre back may have to wait until the summer. But who knows one of their targets might be available.
